Best "Star Wars" PC game?

After watching EPIII, I am in the mood for some light-saber battles and force moves.

Last Star Wars game I played was Jedi Knight II.

What has come out since that's as good or better?

Best of all time...thats a hard one..

Xwing vs Tie figher would have to be I think..such clean gameplay.

Recently tho..I would have to go with Jedi Knight..one not two. I like the multiplayer on one a lot more then 2.

KOTOR is a fun game but I am really not into those games anymore. Really..any game that doesnt have a multiplayer..i really cant play anymore

for jedi action, like lightsabers and stuff, the Jedi Knight series is pretty much the best you'll find. KOTOR is an awesome game, but it's a D&D-based RPG, meaning damage "values" and such are based on dice rolls, not what direction you're moving when you swing the glowing blade. As for strategy, Rebellion is probably the best and most addictive Star Wars Strategy game I've played, although it gets a little old after a while, and has a loooong learning curve.

KOTOR ... i was never a Star Wars movie fan, and certainly not the games, until KOTOR... which made me a SW movie fan.

All the Jedi knight series was great... but Xwing vs Tie Fighter is definately the best in my book. So much to do and earn.

Jedi Knight 2 was absolute trash.

Rogue Squadron was fun, if a little old.

I owe it to my Socket A PC to make its final months peaceful and quiet, plus I owe myself UFO: Aftershock, X3: Reunion, NFS MW and a few others before I go back to old school.

1) game, 2) quieten PC, 3) more games and probably KoTOR if I remember.

I think the last major game I completed on my AXP rig was KOTOR II or Painkiller BOOH. With higher resolution and high ingame settings I was really stressing my system, too. To me I spent my final K7 days well.

Im forced to go 1280x1024 for my LCD but most games hit roughly mid settings in it. Im blessed with the ability to play games enjoyably down as low as around 23 fps. 25 is my preferred min fps but I can battle through.

I used to be excellent in C&C Renegade online with pings of 300-400, went back there once when I had cable and I couldnt kill a thing.

Hopefully, it will be a breath of fresh air when I get a new system together.

1280x1024 is the upper limit of my Samsung 930B, too. So now I just crank up the AA and AF as I have the power to spare.

I have 3 days off starting Wednesday. I'm gonna have to fire up KOTOR II now. Thanks alot GTaudiophile!

The Tie Fighter series was the best in my view. Oh how I wish they would remake it. I can't even remember the last space-dogfighting simulation.

I have to strongly disagree here. Jedi Outcast is one of the best starwars games on pc. It is a blast to play the single player campaign. It's atleast twice as good as Republic Commando.

KOTOR is the best of the best storywise if you're willing to play an RPG. No, you won't be jumping and flailing around like in Jedi Outcast, but the story and overall feel of KOTOR is far superior to any other Starwars game. The best thing though is that either of these games could be had for less than $20 easy.
