To pair with a GTX 760 2gb for Wow/Sc2/Diablo 3. Please no no-name brands (i.e. monoprice). I'm looking for something with a decent 3 year advance exchange warranty if possible (but not required).

Thanks.

You JUST missed a good deal on the dell u2713hm (~$540).

Right now it's just under $600, but worth a look. If you're patient, you MAY be able to catch it on sale again. If you don't mind getting it opened/repackaged, you can get it from Amazon Warehouse in Like New (opened, unused, and repackaged) for $520, which is fantasic. Differences from the HP is that the Dell has an OSD, worse input lag (but still less than 2 frames) and is a USB 3.0 hub vs. HP's USB 2.0 hub.

Another one that's worth a look is the Asus PB278Q. It uses a PWM backlight which some people are sensitive too at lower brightnesses, but it's $550 new, and $475 (!) for opened/repackaged on amazon warehouse.

Hold off. All 1440p 27" panels currently have issues. I tried and returned NINE of them (Dell, Asus, Viewsonic) and they all had dead pixels, backlight bleed, and worse.

Wait for the technology to mature or just get an off-brand Korean monitor. I finally settled on an X-star DP2710, and it's perfect... much better quality than the "reputable" brands.

Can you elaborate on this? Any documentation or link to support this? Or are you just going off personal experience?

You can check out the threads devoted to the Dell, Asus, and Viewsonic 27" 1440p monitors at Overclock.net. You'll see some happy customers but a disproportionate number of complaints--and quite a few people like me who returned multiple monitors before finally finding one that was acceptable.

I'd never returned a monitor in my life until I purchased a Dell U2713HM, never had one dead pixel or particularly noticeable backlight bleed. I owned three Dell Ultrasharps previous to the 27" and considered myself a fan of the brand. But I reluctantly returned 5 U2713HMs, and every one of them had a dead pixel. I didn't do much better with the other brands...

You can read about my personal experience in detail here if you're interested. Purely anecdotal, of course, but I'm pretty sure I'm not an isolated case with these products.

AU Optronics recently released their take on IPS/PLS panel tech, which you can get in the BenQ BL2710PT. I haven't heard anything bad about that monitor yet... may be worth a shot.

ZR2740w at B&H Photo $499

I have one and like it fine.

It lacks OSD and USB3 type features, but after it took calibration from my Spyder Pro 4 and I think it looks great. No issues with dead pixels or bleed, image seems even.

I read it might start just turning off in a couple of years. My Apple 27" Cinema ($999 new) did that too though and Apple helped me out with that repair which would have equaled the cost of a new monitor.

The HP has a 3 year warranty. Keep your paperwork in order just in case.

I've read that there are some problems with gaming on Korean monitors. Something about blurring or ghosting. Is this the case or did I read wrong?

I've also read they are relatively risky in terms of quality, which scares me when purchasing and, by the sounds of it, will also scare the original poster =)
