Best thin gaming laptop with 16:10 screen

I don't think there are any good choices.

The only 16:10 notebooks I'm aware of are the XPS 13 + XPS 13 2-in-1 (much improved internal graphics, but only light gaming possible), the LG Gram 17 (not gaming), and the Apple Macbooks (only the Macbook Pro 16 has a decent graphics card).

Other candidates with a tall aspect ratio (3:2 instead of 16:10) are the Surface Books, the 13" has a GTX 1050 and the 15" has a GTX 1060.

Overall, the most sensible buy of these is probably the MacBook Pro 16, but that's still paying a hefty price for mediocre gaming power.

My current machine is a 2017 MacBook Pro so I know I definitely want something with a 16:10 screen.

I wonder if dell are going to refresh the XPS 15 with a 16:10 screen?

It's absolutely possible (because XPS13 has moved to 16:10), but not sure at all. According to this roadmap: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Leake...us-Dell-XPS-Dual-Screen-Maximus.419782.0.html (which was leaked last year), the next XPS 15 is due around March/April.
Also, the new Ryzen 4000 CPUs look very promising, a whole wave of new notebooks with those chips are due towards the end of Q1.

If you're not in a hurry, it might be a good idea to wait until then.
