Best Ti4200 card?

Nobody is disputing that you can get cheaper cards than the Albatron. But the original poster wasn't asking for the best value.

I picked up a 64mb MSI ti4200 on ebay today $55 shipped for a friend. Building him a budget PC that still games well. Also trying to get some ramsinks for it, and i might add a Iceberg pro if i find one cheap enough. Hate leaving cards stock. Hopefully it will overclock well. Another friend of mine has a 64mb ti4200, these cards actually do pretty well considering the price. I used to have a PNY 64mb ti4200 and i loved it.

I agree with nick..the albatron ti4200 turbo is the best ti4200 out there..plus it overclocks like a beast! Not even gainward's ti4200 can touch this card..

Actually gainward makes a ti4200 that is the same as albatron's. That is, it has an 8 layer pcb and fast bga ram. They should both overclock more or less the same. Asus has also made a model like this.

Last time I checked a GF4 Ti at 330/680 is faster than one at 305/690. This is according to the information in this thread. If an Albatron Ti4200 can overclock consistently better than the speed posted by pcmax than I am wrong. But without doing alot of research and taking the information posted in this thread at face value, the Gainward Ti4800 is the best and cheaper to boot.

I`m not sure that Gainward makes good geforce4 ti4200 cards, I have one piece of ti4200 128mb golden sample gainward, it was able to overclock to 310\580 but it was crap card, I have crash screen problem in windows Xp after 6months after purchase, I have got Gainward agp8X ti4200 128mb golden sample {3,6ns memories}instead of my previous card, but it was invalid in first moment, lines through the monitor, wrong piece. Now I am waiting for satisfaction, I want my money back so I am waiting.

I am sure that best thing is not to buy a Gainward ti4200, maybe ti4800 is better option

In the Slovakia best card for price is MSI fx5900 sp it is really beast for that price
