Best Ti4600?

Wondering what people think is the best Ti4600 card out there. To me it is the Triplex and Leadtek. Triplex has the best non-OC'd marks, but the Leadtek can overclock the most (it also has the second best non-OC'd marks). Any other opinions? I am about to buy the Leadtek and I am wondering whether there is something better.

If you really have you heart set on buying a 4600, disregard this post. If not, I reccomend getting a ti4400 instead of a ti4600. Virtually every 4400 will oc well beyond 4600 speeds, which is extremely fast. The only way you'll know that you have a 4600 instead of a 4400 is the box it came in and slightly higher 3dmark scores. Just my opinion.

If you are dead set on getting that ti4600, then you can look for the one w/ the most options. This is because there isnt' really that much of a difference between the performance of these cards. A few points on 3dmark and a few frames on quake III is hardly noticeable. But features like VIVO, tv-out, dual dvi vs dvi/crt combo. Those things should be considered. I feel the gainward 750xp is good b/c it has 2 dvi outs, comes w/ a firewire card, and has vivo. Kind of a shitty software package but that's the only weak point in my opinion. Or you can go for price and pick out a visiontek or something.

I agree with those who suggest the Gainward card. I couldn't be more pleased with mine. It uses the standard fan, but also has heatsinks on the BGA RAM. It supports VIVO and comes with a FireWire card, too. Check it out here.

Another vote for the Gainward.

I run my at a meager 315/700 , I never felt the need to push it higher, darn Ti4600's are fast enough at deault clck speeds.

They got it up to 328/745!

Default clck speeds are 300/650 BTW.

Like WackyQuacky and FakeDiamond said, all the cards are basically the same. They all use reference nvidia designed boards, and only vary by adding a VIVO chip or a different SVideo chip, heatsinks, and fan.

Back in the GeForce and GeForce 2 days, there were alot more companies releasing modified boards based on the reference design. Unfortunately, this means added cost in R&D so most companies don't do this anymore. It also has a bad effect where if the design is changed too much, the reference Detonator drivers won't work on it.

A prime example of this is Canopus. They have a GF4 Ti4600 card out that is a little more than $500. Yipes! :Q

Ti4400 can go well beyond ti4600, but the reason i am getting leadtek is because it can go way beyond ti4400 overclocks. I have been looking over a lot of overclocks on this card and a lot of em hit 350/800 area using the big HSF that comes with the card. I am looking for the best overclocking 4600. That's why I did not mention the 4400. The 4400 can hit a lot, but nearly any 4600 can overclock by a decent amount more than the 4400 can.
