best tv tuner card (also to play PS2)

what would be the best tv tuner image quality wise, to watch tv and also play ps2 on it...

budget is around $100, its going to be used on a 19" samsung 930b lcd...

it'll help free up space in my dorm, thanks

I'm not too familar with TV Tuners, but the EVGA TV tuner is a great option. It has the best image quality and is only $60. I'm not sure whether you can hook up a PS2 though. Can anyone clear that up for me?

I tried playing my PS2 on an ATI TV Wonder VE and the delay was unbearable. If your LCD has S-Video input use that instead.

nope it only has dvi and vga

You need a card that doesn't use the cheap and old BT878 chip. Philips SAA7135 has the best color and contrast reproduction currently - and that's what makes the difference when you're running a games console through it. Connect through SVideo of course, and make sure your viewing software doesn't apply any fancy CPU driven image enhancers, since these would be introducing noticeable lag into the gaming. Straight TV card to graphics card overlay push is the choice for this. (And if the application that came with the card doesn't let you do that, then there's always 3rd party software that can.)

what cards have the philips chip? ive been looking around but how do i check what chip it has, specifically newegg?
