Well, I'll say it basically - in the Olbermann I've seen, I don't see bias, I see opinion that's reasonable in response to the garbage.

What SHOULD he say to corruption - it'd be bias for him not to criticize it. The problem is when some people HERE who are biased see the truth, they think the truth is biased.

You don't really see them deal with facts - in all the posts on Olbermann, there's not one single post making any general case he's wrong a lot - not even a single factual criticism raised. I get tired of seeing the ideologues get away with calling such people, who we need telling the truth, 'biased', when they're the problem, not Olbermann. The fact that Olbermann makes a buck by doing it in a marketable way doesn't detract from the accuracy of his message.

Being biased doesn't necessarily mean you're wrong depending on your POV.
Personally I'm not aware that he's far Left, Moderate or what ever since I haven't watched his show that much. Just because a demented idealogue like Pabster says he is doesn't mean shit.

Olbermann is a far left-wing blowhard. There's no debating that. Tune in to his show on any given night and just listen to the first 30 seconds. It's a BDS-enriched fest. But since you and him are on equal footing politically, Red, I'm not surprised you can't see it (or admit to it.)

Olbermann is a biased hack just like the rest. Burns bridges everywhere he goes (including ESPN), but doesn't see the forest for the trees either. He's more right than some other hacks, but he's a hack nonetheless. I wouldn't put him on Hannity's level or anything, but he's up there.

I don't believe there can ever be unbiased reporting. Not because it is not desired, but because whoever is doing it has to make money. And to make money doing it you have to have an audience. And to have an audience you have to capture people's attention. And people's attention is not easily captured with 'good' news. Hence, why you'll rarely see any 'good' news, aside from charities performed by celebrities :roll:, and the like.
This is why I am always on the other side of every story I see or read. For example, is it really possible for there to be so little 'good' news to come out of the middle east? No, and no one here is going to be able to refute that. And, I only use the middle east as an example because of it's popularity. The same can be said about local news. There is always another view, another side, another fact that is missed or purposely left out, because the story wouldn't sell otherwise. I think this is the true reason why so many people get upset with media. Because many people, none of who post here obviously , who are too lazy to think for themselves just take the opinion of whichever reporter did the story they just read/heard. But, few people have time to root out the spin in the stories they get, no matter the format. And, reporters still have to make money. So, I guess we're all screwed! :laugh:

No no no, I think you guys have my comment all wrong. Olbermann is great - he definitely should be allowed to do post GOP debate commentary without question. Just like James Carville should be allowed to do post Dem debate commentary on CNN without saying he works for Hillary. CNN and MSNBC are great on debates in both accounts. Now if only we can get PBS to host the next Dem debate and have Rove do the post debate we'll have a trifecta of impartial journalism!
