Hi.
I bought an ATI TV-Wonder card yesterday, but had problems installing it on my system because there is not working XP driver. I returned it and bought the WinTV. It works great. I have it installed and working (i.e. working driver), but I have not tested it.
I would like to know two things. First, I want to watch TV through WinTV. Do I need to install the Hauppauge's software for the card to watch TV, or could I use a 3rd party software?
Finally, I want to capture video from my vcr, dvd, and antenna. I would like to know what is the *best* video editing software that compatible with WinTV and would me to capture video into whatever format I want and allow me to edit it such as cut, resize resolution, and optimize for best resolution. I have heard of many big name video editing software as in Adobe Premiere, ULead Media Studio, Sonic Foundry Vegas Video, VirtualDUB, and TMPGEnc. What do you recommend for the purpose I mentioned? I would prefer to use one software for all jobs if that is possible. That way I do not have to mess with multiple program unless it is the only way or that it is a matter of performance.
Thanks,
Kuphryn
