Best video game music?

I think number one would be the Sims 1, the music you listen to while Buying or Building is just soo good. Otherwise Crono Trigger, Zelda: Ocarina, and Tales of Phantasia have my votes. Secret of Mana 2 is a runner up.

gotta love the variety and the damn elephants on Dahlsims level, and then the hard rock on Ken's level.

EDIT: on a serious note, Halo has some good ass music as does it's sequel. Also I love the music in Table Tennis

EDIT 2: Also Super Mario 64 had some great music. The water level had the most mesmerizing music.

Then you must have refused to play FF7 past a certain point, it features the best music the series has ever had and I can honestly say this after playing every Final Fantasy game that has been released in the US (yes even Mystic Quest). So intenionally leaving out FF7 unless you stopped playing it at a certain point is just ridiculous, I've known heavy haters of FF7 who STILL admitted the musical score was one of the best.
