Or you can do what I did, sell your GTX970 to subsidize the GTX1070. I only spent 286usd for my GTX1070, the card was 434usd including VAT at my place. I got lucky since the next cheapest is 472usd.

Darn, I guess i'll just upgrade my CPU then.For 1080p and with your mid-range i5, seems to me the 970 is a pretty good match. Not sure it is worth the upgrade unless you plan to upgrade the monitor and/or cpu at some point as well. I suppose it could be worth while if, as others suggested, you sold the 970 and put the money toward the 1070.
