I've tried Takaa and Aristrocrat, and they are horrible. I like Absolut, but it's a little expensive. Does anyone know any good, cheaper vodkas?

Wouldn't that negate "cheaper" part? I'm sure filter would be unusable when you're done.

No. You can use it to filter the next bottle, too.

Works. Tried on the crappiest vodka I could find. No hangover next day!

If Absolut is "a little expensive", you better stick with Smirnoff (or Brita filtering the noname sh!t that comes in the squeezy bottle) and call it a night.

Nothing personal, but you're kidding yourself if you think you'll get vodka cheaper than that with any measure of real quality. You get what you pay for, simple and plain.

I always get Grey Goose now. I used to drink Belvedere but Grey Goose tastes better to me. Any others you would recommend?

My thoughts exactly. Absolut is one of the cheaper Vodkas out there. Short of Mr. Boston, Popov, or Smirnoff you're not going to find much cheaper. And the two former vodkas in that list are bottom of the barrel.

Personally I can't even stand Absolut anymore. for my 21st b-day my room mates in college got me a fifth of grey goose, and since then it's the only vodka I'll drink straight. As far as mixing you can get away with the cheaper stuff usually because there's other things in the drink to cover the hideous glass-shard taste of Mr. Boston, or Popov or Smirnoff.

Now back to your question, there's a Swedish brand of Vodka...I just got some last week to try...SVEDKA! that's the name of it, and it was slightly cheaper than Absolut and wasn't all that bad. But honestly you're better off going with a higher grade of vodka.

edited cause i saw post above me talking about svedka

The best vodka is the cheapest vodka there is, as long as it doesn't make you go blind. All vodka tastes like crap, all you're looking for is to get drunk.

Try Skyy vodka. I get it for like $13.99 a fifth and it's quality stuff. Bottom line is that if you're paying under $10 for a fifth, it's likely gonna taste like crap and result in a bad hangover. Aristocrat and Popov shouldn't be consumed unless you're a poor college student. I drank a buttload of Popov in college but I think I'd puke if I had some now.
