Nothing personal, but you're kidding yourself if you think you'll get vodka cheaper than that with any measure of real quality. You get what you pay for, simple and plain.
My thoughts exactly. Absolut is one of the cheaper Vodkas out there. Short of Mr. Boston, Popov, or Smirnoff you're not going to find much cheaper. And the two former vodkas in that list are bottom of the barrel.
Personally I can't even stand Absolut anymore. for my 21st b-day my room mates in college got me a fifth of grey goose, and since then it's the only vodka I'll drink straight. As far as mixing you can get away with the cheaper stuff usually because there's other things in the drink to cover the hideous glass-shard taste of Mr. Boston, or Popov or Smirnoff.
Now back to your question, there's a Swedish brand of Vodka...I just got some last week to try...SVEDKA! that's the name of it, and it was slightly cheaper than Absolut and wasn't all that bad. But honestly you're better off going with a higher grade of vodka.
edited cause i saw post above me talking about svedka
