Best Way to Bid on EBay?

Aren't there some good software solutions out there? Pretty much I just want to get something that will bid for me the next highest increment of the last bid at the last second so I can get the lowest price.

Uh, that won't guarantee you anything because you don't know what the high bidder's proxy bid is.

besides why would you want to inflate the price? Waiting till the last day is the best bet.

Make a proxy bid right as the auction ends. If you're worried that you're going to be outbid, you're not making your proxy bid high enough. If you're worried that you're going to pay too much, you need to rethink bidding on the item.

The best way is to wait for the last seconds and enter the absolute highest bid you are willing to pay. Let the proxy bidding do the work.

Entering the highest beforehand is pointless because you are merely inflating the price by allowing someone else to increase their price. Also, it allows for the seller to artificially inflate the bids.

That would defeat the whole purpose of an auction. You need to use an auction sniper if you want the best deal though.

Use the buy it now feature. That's the only way I shop on ebay.

I wouldn't trust a software to bid for you. A mistake will cost you real money (or a negative rating).

the best way to bid is to place a bid for the max you want to pay and see if you win. if you don't, no loss, and if you win, you didn't pay any more than you wanted to.

Just use the proxy bidding system as it was designed and you'll be fine. I've been over this 1000 times.

gah, auctionstealer screwed up for me today. it bid when there was ~30 seconds left instead of 10 seconds. lost 2,3 auctions today because of that.

auctionstealer is good WHEN it works, it's not very reliable.

We have used JustSnipe.com about 10 times, won 9 of those 10 auctions.
