Best way to buy halo 5?

Hey, I own an xbox and rarely buy games on release since they are expensive however Halo has always been an exception. Now that I have an Xbone I want to preorder this and get it on day one, easiest and cheapest way as possible. What is the best way? Thanks in advance

you aren't going to find it cheaper than $60 at launch.

there is no "best" way to purchase it. it's all your preference.

the "best" way for me is to order it on amazon, because it'll be sitting on my porch release day.

wow, well i stand corrected about the price lol. that is pretty sweet, never seen that before where it is cheaper for prime members. so i guess that IS the best way lol.

The prerequisites may or may not be worth it to you, but:

Best Buy is giving a $10 reward cert for Halo 5

The Gamer's Club Unlocked membership program (costs $30 for one or two years, can't remember) gives you a 20% discount on all new games, bringing the price down to $48.

I've got 22% cash back activated on my Discover Card, so factoring the cashback, I'll be getting it release date for ~$38 + a $10 reward cert.

Yeah, Best Buy's GCU is always #1 for launch games. $12 off, and bigger games almost always have another $10 back in rewards. It's $30 for 2 years to get GCU, so if you only buy 1-2 games/year, it might not be worth it. However, you get the $10 rewards just for having a My Best Buy account, which is free. You also get 2 points per-dollar on gaming purchases with GCU (or the free version, 250 points = $5 rewards).

Me, I've probably saved $150+ from GCU so far, with about 8 months left on my subscription. I'll definitely re-sub for it next May.

This. If you have a BB close enough, and buy at least 3-4 games a year it pays for itself. Cant beat $48 for new games, plus an extra $10 back if you pre-order. You also get the extra 10% credit when trading in games.

More like, "if you buy 3 games in 2 years," since that alone would save you $36, and the sub is $30. Even if you're not near a Best Buy, if you're someone who has a day job and can't play a launch game until you're out of work in the evening, they'll do launch day delivery with games, and GCU works online.
