Best way to get drivers and keep them up to date?

Ok, I just upgraded my pc and I am reinstalling windows now, what is the very best way to make sure all my drivers are correct and I don't have extra ones I don't need?

Here are my specs:
evga 7800 gt co
dfi lanparty mobo
audigy 2 zs gamer
haupage tv tuner-150

I had trouble with drivers before and don't want it again.

Windows comes with thousands of extra drivers you dont need. They only take up hard drive space because they are not envoked or in use.

What I think you are referring to is the unnecessary software that comes bundled with your peripherals and hardware. (i.e. demos, trial software, etc.).

Just install windows and let windows detect your hardware and install whatever it can. Worry about getting your onboard NIC to work, leave the rest uninstalled for now.

After you can connect to the internet, go to each manufacturer and download the individual drivers for all of your hardware and do the installs.

Most hardware comes with a software/driver bundle on a single CD...if you autoplay it, it'll want to install everything....so if you don't want to go online and just stick to using the CD's that came with your hardware, anytime you install a device, only install the driver.
