Best way to hook up my EVGA 8800GT to my Olevia 27" LCD

I just bought a EVGA 8800GT superclocked edition yesterday and want to plug it into my Olevia 27" LCD HDTV, The 8800 came with a cable that plugs in the card's svideo and has compononet plugs on the other end. Would this be the best way to go or can I buy a DVI-HDMI adapter like the 3870 cards have and use it on my 8800 to LCD. Is there a special type of DVI-HDMI adapter to use on the 8800 or will any of them work.

Does anyone have this same type of setup? How is the picture quality, BLU-RAY play back with PureVideo, and how did you hook it up to you HDTV for best quality?

Any help would be greatly appricated. Thanks

dvi to hdmi adapter is the way to go

How is the picture quality? How is it comparable to ATI? And most importantly are you satisfied?

picture quality is great, i don't know compared to ATI as my experience with ATI is limited to xbox 360. i will say i sold my 360 because i found the picture to be lacking in some respects, colors looked wrong and textures were crappy.

9600gt plays video perfectly well for me with bd-roms and standard def stuff. i guess you could say i'm satisfied. the 9600gt has purevideo 2 though, and i don't know what the big differences are, i just decided not to get an 8800gt mostly because i already dropped a lot of dough on the bd drive.

I see you are running vista x64. Does it have compability problems with 32bit software or can you run the 32bit software in some kind of compability mode. And is it really alot faster than the 32bit version I am running(Is it worth the upgrade). I was thinking of upgrading but didnt want to lose my 32bit apps. Help please

precisely.

monoprice is great for stuff like this.

an even better value is to get a CABLE that has DVI at one end and HDMI at the other end, then you don't need another HDMI cable.

i don't have many problems with the games i play or apps i use on vista x64.

i use ableton live, some midi stuff and a motu ultralite for recording.

i also play crysis and cod4 on this pc no problem.

the only thing i need that isn't out yet is a contivity client for vista x64, for that i just open a linux virtual machine.

i can't compare as to vista 32 bit because i haven't run that, but maybe someone else can say.
