Talk to your doctor, he can help tell you what would be best for you. There is a medication you can take that helps ALOT, it will help cut down the cravings by quite a bit. I have quit and gone back a few times, most the time its during depression and stress that I end up going back. The patch and gum both help a little bit, but not a ton. The patch is more constand, you get cravings with the gum because you get sudden doses of nicotine, not a smooth rate of it, so all of a sudden your out of gum... and you go for a smoke. I forgot the name of it but the medication my doctor gave me helped by a large amount, it cut down the cravings and the overall crappy feeling you feel while quiting cold turkey. I plan to quit again myself, because I want to move in with my g/f and she doesnt like it, and wont allow it if we live together, I will be going back to my doctor and getting that medication again.
