Best Wireless Gamepad for PC?

Hi,

Im looking for a good gamepad, preferably wireless, which is why I am considering the Logitech and has good software support.

But I heard Xbox360 is supposedly the best gamepad out right now for PC, but through all my searching, there hasn't been any confirmation on whether the XBOX 360 wireless controller works at all on a windows pc.

I have the MCE remote with the IR receiver already installed in my Media center pc, but since it uses IR and the 360 controller uses RF, that probably won't work out.

Anyone know any info on this? or have any other recommendations?

The wireless X360 controller AFAIK so far will not work with a PC. MS says it plans to release a dongle to use with the controller, but for now, no wireless.

That said, I LOVE my wired X360 controller.

I have the Logitech rumblepad, and apart from the squishy D-pad, it's pretty good. Works flawlessly(no lag) and solid built, but I do prefer the 4 separate buttoned D-pad style.

If you get a good price on the Logitech, go for it(I payed $20 CDN at Best Buy). If they're within $10, go for the 360 pad. I do hear there are some issues with some games, but they're bound to be addressed quickly.

Personally I'd get the Xbox because it's a good gamepad, though I havn't used it on PC. I really do like using a PS2 controller on PC, though. That's still my favorite.
