Best Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

I'm looking at the Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical. Is there any better ones out there?

been using it for half a year now and it works like a charm

I had this keyboard mouse, I used it in my living room entertainment system from the couch and it was terrible - especially when gaming. I don't know I hear a lot of good reviews but I think people are using it on desktop system in which the distance is merely 2-4 ft.

I have the Logitech. Works fine on my desktop, but I never have it more than about 4' away from the base station. No troubles with games, but the only one I've played on that system is Pro Bull Rider 2. Cordless is nice - less clutter around my desk.

chronic1972: The Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical is currently the best wireless combo you can get out there. However, as ukDave mentioned, any wireless solutions for your Keyboard/Mouse is ia waste of money since wireless has a slower refresh rate and thus if you play games like Quake3, UT, Max Payne, CS, etc (first person shooters) you will find yourself frustrated since the mouse and keyboard will not be able to keep up with your actions. However, if you are using it for just basic windows and office work, the wireless solution is fine.

I use all corded items on my gaming desktop, wireless logitech combo for my entertainment system, and a corded mice and keyboard on my workstation (since I like the responsiveness ).
