It is not advertised but Linksys 4 port and Netgear 314 routers are on sale for 99.00-not bad at all.

If you need to split your connection then go with the router. I prefer the Netgear btw.

keep in mind that Netgear doesn't provide port ranging , so things like MS Game Voice won't work through it. I just switched to the SMC for this reason!

Free printserver is way cool too.

Haven't tried it yet, but a printserver by itself is not cheap. Just makes the SMC a better deal though IMO.

I had trouble setting mine up, because of stupid arse @home, and the SMC guy was so friggin cool about helping me at 3am no less. We actually BS'ed for like 10-15 minutes after he set it all up for me, and he couldn't believe the @home guy gave me all my network settings. They do frown upon these after all.

Not sure about what the others offer, but 24/7 tech support rules.

IF you plan to get the Netgear RT314 and use the rebate...make sure you buy it from an "authorized" store. I bought mine @ Fry's and the rebate place won't cough up the rebate...said it was purchased from an unauthroized store. Now I'm going back and forth on this...and on top of that, they won't even tell me the authorized stores........just a heads up

Hmmm... Then how do they explain the fact that there is a special page for Fry's offers at the Netgear site? Unless the rebate coupon names a specific vendor, it should be valid. Watch out though, they will stall around until the final date has passed then tell you the offer has expired.
