I don't see why they couldn't continue BCS up until he first meets Walt. If I had to guess where another potential storyline might be worth doing, it could be centered around Jesse. You could either follow him prior to BB, as we already know he has a past, or come up with a new story about what he's done since BB ended.

Finally got around to starting it and it was fairly slow the first few epis but just finished the second season... They do a good job of leaving me in an oh snap feel. I dig it quite a bit and the development of Mike is awesome. I can understand that its not for everybody (whereas if anyone did not enjoy BB we cant be friends) but seeing the origins of slippin jimmy before the money laundering and truly bad lawyering he had humble beginnings.

Jesse would be cool and is probably the only other character that makes sense. They could keep some Gus and cartel storyline, and even show Jesse as one of Walt's students. Maybe they could have Walt as a side-story (like Mike in BCS) as a teacher, but I'm not sure if there's anything interesting there - same with Hank.

IMO, the time has passed for any more prequels.

Yeah. The guy playing Mike was already pretty old. Always knew it would be tough to pull of a prequel like this. Luckily, they didn’t go too far back and much of Breaking Bad is supposed to be a couple years after the current time in BCS.

What? Kid graduates high school barely able to multiply two-digit numbers, does lots of drugs and slings meth for a living. Fascinating modern-day everyman story.

I agree, it would be boring and stupid. I don't really care about a street level dealer and his back story. There won't be much to it.

I can imagine a pretty cool story involving Jessie’s aunt leaving him the house after dying of cancer and his family fighting him for it. Enter: Jessie’s lawyer.

This was all alluded to in Breaking Bad.

I stopped watching "Saul" after season 2 but I really need to go back and finish it up.... at this point I'll wait till its over though so I can binge it.

And Breaking Bad is/was one of my all-time favorite series, streaming or otherwise.

It's actually a better series in my opinion. They put a lot of work into Saul's character development, actually the entire cast is great. How this show hasn't received more awards is beyond me.

The character insight/development just knocks it out of the park in this series.
