Better ink then Megatoners IMO even Epson's ink.

I'm working on negotiating the price on the existing cartridges. In other words, the prices may be reduced, but the cartridges will not be altered. Thank you for your feedback!

Okay. I read through the entire thread and Swift sounds pretty good. Might buy a few and test them out. But how is the quality in terms of fade resistance/lightfastness? I use my Canon i850 mainly for pictures. Tests done by Wilhelm Research suggests that it's best to stay with OEM cartridges when compared to inks from other vendors.

I'm paying less than $1.50 for a BCI-24 black with Sensient ink for example. $1.10 for a Rainbow BCI-24 black. BCI-3's and 6's are about $.50 to $.60 more.

If you want to know what inks are the best and where to buy them...I do have a lot of information.

Our supplier makes their own ink on site. They use several American companies to provide the different inks and they then formulate them to mirror that of the OEM. The reason some of those inks are so cheap is that there are no industry standards that exist today for the inks. PC World has done a test on some of the popular inks and our inks by far tested the best. By the way, Rainbow failed. These inks will technically work, but are so cheaply made that they'll clog the print head much faster than the OEM's ink would. If they do a lot of printing, especially high end printing, these inks will not hold up to par.

Do you have a link to that article?

Interesting. I do know that pigmented ink will clog more than dye base ink and Epsons clog more than Canons and HPs. What is it about "cheap" ink that clogs heads?

Thanks for the link.

And it looks like I found the answer to my question too in the article.

If print quality--and especially durability--are a top concern, however, you're better off playing it safe by gritting your teeth and shelling out for brand-name inks.

Please remove your links from my thread. I dont need you thread craping in it. What your posting has no referance to swift ink. You also need to enable your profile. You being here this long should of know atleast that. If you feel that ink is better you need to start your own thread on how it is and what makes it a great deal.
Thank you in advance.

You've got to be kidding. I thought this was supposed to be a discussion about deals on ink. At worst it's spamming. Hot Deals is NOT a spamming thread so it must be a discussion about "hot deals" on ink. Azo said there will be better prices coming...so bring 'em on. I'm game. I also like to know who's ink I'm putting into my printers...the manufacturer. Nothing difficult there.

Here is a reminder of the Hot Deals Forum rules...

i beg to differ, i got their color/black carts for our epson stylus 785. lets just say some of the colors did not show up at all on the prints, even after a replacement cart. i've since then bought 2 carts from switftink and have never looked back.

If you have any problems, I promise I will do my best to take care of them.

Funboy, you are a shill, or at least a reasonable facsimile of one. You don't own this thread and discussion is what the forums are for. Always. The attitude you take sometimes seems to reflect your possible lost commissions. "Made in USA" and an "honest
opinion" from Funboy are really souring Swiftink's milk. I'd wanna kick myself if I ignore this sour feeling in my gut and purchase this ink based on what seem to be truly independent assessments of the ink's quality. There are 2 opinions in this thread I'll just ignore. Guess who's?

Is someone having thier period? Think what ever you want INTO this thread. I know what is true and that is I have nothing to do with swift and I gave my honest opion which OTHER OPINIONS are backing me up. Also being backed up by people who agree with me when I made this thread saying I found better ink. My opinions are turning into facts and your just pissy with nothing better to do then ruin someone or make someone look bad I guess to make yourself feel better about your own worthless life (I.E. Swiftink and now me). I know your type it appeared when my family lost everything 2 years ago and some people went to extreme lengths to discredit me. So do us all a favor and finsh you visit with aunt flow and take it elsewhere.

Have a great day

I guess it's just your almost religious and, apparently non profit, devotion cause you to react so vehemently when somone post's a comparative link. I can barely figure out why I do thing sometimes, let alone what somebody else's motives are. I just can't understand the borderline mania w/o a $ motivation. But then maybe you just have more time on your hands than me.
Enjoy your day as well :lips:

If you really must know I am disabled. I am unable to go anywhere and yes I may take my threads and replies over the top but I have nothing better to do in my life at the moment. I actually had fun testing that ink out because for that short time gave me a purpose in life and unfortunatly right now responding and answering questions on it is all I have to do. When I first got injured I had to sell everything I owned to make ends meet. Now things for us are slightly better and I can afford internet again but I dont have really anything else to do other then sit here and watch over my 4 year old for the last going on 3 years. So yes I may be on the border line of mania but wouldnt you too if you were put in my shoes left alone with a 4 year old, not able to play with him, with nothing to do, nothing to watch, no one to talk to because you have no friends local to you and when your wife gets home from work has no time to talk because she has to take care of the house you start to go crazy, and something as small as testing some ink gives you complete joy and selfworth? I mean I am jsut ready to bounce off the walls over here but I cant because Id be in to much pain

For the time being I am in limbo between my laywer, workers comp, and ex employer. I litteraly have nothing to do, no money to do anything, I am still selling off my stuff to make ends meet or to buy somthing. This is all I have for the moment and I get great pleasure out of doing it. But like you some peoiple need to understand that there may be a method to some peoples madness in why they do stuff and maybe if you had pm me instead of craping in my thread I could of answered your questions and could see why I am the way I am at this moment. I dont mean to take some of the comment personally but it hits me personnaly because its all I can do. So I am sorry for my reactions and will try to keep my mouth shut.

funboy42,

I just want to say I support you.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, if it wasn't for you I'd still be using OEM ink at twice the price because of the other crap that is out there.

Thanks again,

I know 1st hand what it feels like to beleive you don't have a purpose in life. This
thread is like "your" personal web site... starting it gives you a purpose & meaning... then when folks start trying the ink is good & respond, that would give anyone reinforcment.

Then there are folks who just like to start a meaninless pissing contest to see who can piss the furtherest for a nickle saved. Very unfortunately, the world is full of them. Maybe someday someone will pour chlorine in their gene pool so's we don't have to worry about them.

When you got to argue & get pissed off about the content of an existing thread... its time to start your own thread and beat your drum there. It may make folks feel really superior to do battle with folks who have a disability. What I've learned in surviving this world as long as I have is that it's just best to take your marbles and go someplace else. Sooner or later doing battle over marbles is going to get you killed... and all you were arguing over was marbles.

Swiftink beats the heck out of anything I have ever tried.

Service is top notch.

Colors are vibrant and I love the packaging they use...along with the instructions. Very good attention to detail.

Okay I got my ink yesterday from swift ink. I haven't done much in the way of tests or runs but I will say right now:

it works perfectly.

I didnt do any big picture printing, i just printed a page off of googld with text and image and it was VERY nice looking. REAL INK came out of the freaking cx5200 which made me happy (the ink from megatoners would just not come out and it was driving me insanse! text would BARELY print and the one thing that came out were pictures but they came out horribly). I did print a few other things, and they worked like a charm. I didn't do any big photo printing just because I don't like to waste ink like that

From now on I'm going to reccomend swift ink to my friends, and one of my friends has a cx5400 and rather than go to costco and buy a pack which they were going to replace, we'll just order together next time (since my colors are almost gone as well).

But in the end...one satisfied customer
