Better ink then Megatoners IMO even Epson's ink.

I'd rather not get into a huge debate about this for several reasons, one of them being if I keep bumping this thread it will appear as though I'm trying to advertise.

Macro2, for your response I'm going to leave it at this. Our new prices, as already mentioned above, will be more than likely available this weekend. Don't expect to pay $2.50 per 3eBk or 6Bk because I can already tell you it's not going to happen. We do not supply the cheapest ink possible. Had I wanted to do that, I would have called Nectron or G&G and purchased these things for a few cents and pennies.

I'm not going to reply to any posts regarding other ink companies any further. If you have a questions about our ink or need customer service, I'll do my best to answer them. If you're curious about the quality, start reading this thread from page one. Numerous people have already expressed their positive opinions regarding how they felt about it.

regarding HP, why would yours be better than others? i've been using those Print-Rite remanufactured ones from Fry's and this last one is clogged so i'm giving up on them. that would be about a 1 in 10 failure rate for me. they run about 23$ (large) vs 29$ for the HP i think (45 economy). not enough of a difference imo.

HP and their price gouging and "large" size scam UGHH. it should be like 15$ for the "large". why are they allowed to continually rape us like this, i don't know..

Hi misterj

With our HP and Lexmark, I cannot speak for other companies, but I can tell you about our ink.

All of our HP and Lexmark cartridges also meet OEM specifications in terms of dye vs. pigment. Therefore, if the OEM uses dye, we do too. If pigment, we do too. The inks are formulated to be precisely similar to OEM, and all remanufactured cartridges are thoroughly tested to ensure a very low defect rate. I rarely get any complaints about these cartridges. Not to say that you will NEVER get a defective, but it's extremely rare.

thanks. is clogging the main reason why they fail? i always wondered exactly how these HP carts function. if its clogging, then it should unclog shouldnt it?

i'm wondering if there are other tiny components that wear out, like pins, leads, plungers?

Hi misterj,

There are many important aspects that may affect the functionality of a remanufactured cartridge. For example, corrosion on the contacts between the cartridge and the printer. Cuts in the flex cable, or ink underneath the flex circuit. Delaminated conductors for the flex circuit, etc. These are some things to look for in a HP #45 for example. Every cartridge has its own set of criteria during inspection.

Hi Azo313,
Your ink looks pretty good but I'm disappointed that you don't have cartridges for the Epson Stylus Photo R800 printers. Any plans to carry them?

Because the business model for inkjets is to make money on the ink itself. They do have to make their money somewhere and consumers are easily lured in by the low entry cost of inkjet printers.

We don't have that yet. It's a really new printer, but we're working on it.

Replying to a PM here since it contains useful information:

Canon claims if I use there photo paper(which I do..glossy photo paper plus 4 x 6) that in proper conditions(no excess light, moisture etc) the photo will last 25yrs...I do not know how they know but if we assume longevity is very good

How will your ink stand up....do you have any simulated aging tests to know theortical longevity....

I realize canon claim maybe a bit unrealsitic but since I have moved primarily to inkjets for photos I want to know I am not going to see early fading etc...

Neal

What type of printer do you use? It would depend on the composition of the inks. In the past, our supplier made some pigmented Epson inks that were tested to not fade for over 50 years. They used a very reputable testing firm called Henry Wilhelm. Also, Avery and Bowling Green University have done some testing with these inks. While Canon probably was being a bit optimistic in their claims, it is possible for it to last this long if they're using pigmented inks and our inks will match their inks precisely. However, I can find out more if I know the printer, so I can find out which inks you're using.

I own both a canon S820 and the new Pixma M780(all in one with ip4000 print engine)

Canon uses long life dyes in the inks for these cartridges (BCI-6). This prolongs the life of the print. We also use long life dyes in our inks on these cartridges so that the quality and consistency remains intact. This is why the prints can last 25 years.

Macro2,

I did not start this thread. For the most part, I have kept replies limited to answering customer inquiries.

You seem to continuously ask questions that were already answered. If you read the previous posts, you would have known that quantity discounts will be made available. In fact, I will be making DNS changes to the domain today. Therefore, the new site, new pricing, and quantity discounts will be made available in approximately 24-72 hours.

Yes, it's obvious that this thread has given Swift Ink some publicity. For this reason, I decided to give back to Anandtech. Please see Anandtech.com home page in about a week or two; I'll be advertising there.

We'll keep you bumped up to the top in the meantime.

PS...you didn't start the fatwallet thread either...but you appeared there. Did you ever get out of the

I could see this coming from a junior high school student, but an adult? I love the maturity level.

For your information, yes, this company was once started out of a garage. And yes, it's now out of the garage. Care to see photos? I can take some for you and show your more ink than you can fit on a 1600x1200 resolution photo.

I'm done replying to your thread crapping. I will only reply to customer inquiries.

Regards,

Aziz M.

RE:"I hope you put the seat back down after you crap on a thread."

When you use anandtech for advertizing then you're usually locked or whatever.

I'm still waiting for the HOT deal?
Swiftinks prices are not so hot.

So let it go and see what he comes up with.

Your missing the hot deal
I made this thread for people who were looking for oem ink WITHOUT paying oem prices. I have tested his ink and so have others and have concluded that the ink he sells is the closest to OEM prints. Therfore it is a hot deal. YES you can get cheaper ink but that wasnt the bassis for the thread it was for people wanting better ink not sh!t the other sites sell. If you wish to spend your money and test other ink against his and show proof then do so it isnt against the rules. On the other hand thread craping because you feel like it or this thread offends you is.

OH and the fact he is replying here and at fat is because of me. At first when I can across Swift ink I gave him a little hassle about he claimed it was so great of ink but didnt carry my printer carts (R200). He got back to me and had gotten some in stock. I had to remove my foot from my mouth and thought I would test his ink against others (oem, Megatoners) because he said it was the closest thing to oem. HE was right so I started this thread for others I though wanting good ink not crap and not pay oem prices (IE-Hot Deal). I made a tread on fat as well. I was being asked questions I couldnt answer so I was aksing him and told him where I had made the threads people were asking me questions at so that he can answer then himself instead of me being bombbarded and not knowing because I cannot speak for him. That is why he is here and there and only why. I have no problems with him answering the questions that come up I cant for I dont know him or his company pollicy or really anything other then I tested his ink and I will never buy anything else I see no reason to.

You have to realize some of us around here have been in this "ink game" for a long time so when someone comes around saying they have the best ink...yada yada yada they are going to get a few questions, thank you. So far Aziz has been a little vague as in "our ink is the best" or "our ink manufafuturer manufactures their ink on site" Cough, a lot of manufacturers do that.
