Well, an Acura TL isn't exactly a "heart pumper"
It's an Acura for goodness sakes!
Now if it had been the '05 BMW 3-Series or '04 Mustang it would have racked up a few MB's
Well, when you post it on Acura boards, (especially Acura-tl.com ?) you'd expect that it'd pull more than 1MB. The picture is 300k, and it automatically displays when you click on the message. The message on each Acura board I posted it on had over 100 views. 300k * 100 views per acura board = 30 Megs * 4 Acura boards = 120 Megs. Maybe Rossman meant that it didn't use more than 1 Gigabyte.
In fact I just checked and on Acura-tl.com the post has 569 views. On acuraworld.com 348 views, and 795 views on acura-cl.com ... That adds up to ~513600kbyes. About 500 Megs of viewing ... Now assuming that some people viewed the page more than once and that cache is taking into effect ... That number is probably larger than it needs to be. ~200-300 megs is a more likely assumption. I once again state that Rossman probably meant 1GB and not 1MB.
You may not be a huge Acura fan, but I'm sure there are more than 3 people on the Internet that would be interested in what the new TL looks like.
Maybe its not a Nissan or Infinity, or the new Mustang. But its still a bread and butter car for Acura, its their best selling car (the MDX SUV outsells it in total monthly sales though) even though the design of the 2003 TL is 5 years old. In fact in 2002, the TL sold 60,764 cars .. 69,484 in 2001, higher than the MDX in both cases. And with rumors of the car having at least 280hp under the hood, with some people claiming the car will have AWD, 300hp, and 260ft/lbs under the hood ... I think there's some serious interest in the car.
