There is this thing out from citibank called c2it, It allows you to use a credit card, debit card, or a bank account to send and recieve funds. Funds transfer the same day on credit and debit card purchases. Check it out takes less then 4 mins to sign up and be verified. Here's the link!

its not new, and its not as good. problem being if you use a non citibank credit card, you get charged a cash advance fee by your cc company of 3% which blows goats. that and their website interface really sucks.

Yeah, their website really could be a lot better.

As for the 3% fee for non-citibank CCs, I honestly think that has more to do with the policies behind the CC being used than it does with C2it. My father had the same problem with his CC when he used Paypal. So in that respect, I wouldn't blame C2it.

On the other hand, with the good comes the bad. For example, their security is so ridiculously tight that it's been almost impossible to get certain accounts registered with C2it. If you are off by so much as a "," or a "." it will fail to register the account. I'll be the first to applaud good security, but what good is it if you can't use it.

I got through a few because the "th" in something like "88th Street" needed to be "88TH Street". But on others, I could find no errors and neither could the bank. Yet it still wouldn't register. Go figure.

So in short, nice service, if I could use it.

This has been around a long time, if I'm not mistaken. I know there are a lot of threads about it here.

I don't know what browser or connection edavid uses, but the connection speed to C2it.com is great for me.

Link your bank account instead of a credit card and you won't have to worry about the 3% credit card fee.

I have probably used C2it.com for about 20 Ebay transactions and have never experienced a problem. It is a great service and beats the pants off of PayPal and Billpoint since it is free to buyer and seller.

C2it sucks... I don't mean to crap on your thead... but I've used C2it twice and both times they charged me a cash advance fee of $5 each time on top of the 3% ... I was piping mad about this so I called them up and told them that paypal doesn't charge me the cash advance fee of $5 when I use my CC, but they said to me that Paypal has an arrangement with most CC companies and that they didn't so every transaction is charged a $5 fee. I figured that I had broke even with the $10 that they gave me .... but still I was pissed and I told the guy to close my account on the spot.

paypal has already established familiarity through ebay and acceptance with online retailers so it'll be my online account of choice.
competition is always welcome though

I must be really out of the loop. I could have sworn I had an account with c2it that they closed around 6 months ago for "abusing the rewards program" (paying off my credit card balances with my paypal preferred card and receiving my 1.5% cashback from paypal since no ever payed with c2it) but wow there is a new c2it so I can do it again. J/K I agree with everyone else horrible design, super slow, no one uses it, & worst of all was when my money would disappear into blackholes for a few days until I called customer service a number of times to resolve it.

Welcome back from the rock you crawled out from.

The two things that are better than PayPal from what I can see is that C2it is free and is FDIC insured. Otherwise, PayPal is better IMO.

C2IT is good for sellers. Paypal is good for buyers. So I'll continue to use C2IT when I'm the seller and PayPal when I'm the buyer ...

There is no such thing as a $600.00 maximum Lifetime expenditure limit.

Another Thread Crapper that is full of it!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have used C2it on Ebay over 20 times as a seller. Only one person couldn't setup an account.

One more time "Free to Buyer and Seller. FDIC Insured."

Quick and simple Web interface. They people that are thread crapping don't even use C2it, so ignore them.

Hey guys..

wasn't planning to use this, prefer paypal imo. i tried signing up but they wanted my social security number which i think is ridiculous. since i didnt give it to them, they gave me a 1500.00 lifetime limit. so for those of you who got 600, i dont know what's up. i might try using this in the future just to see what the transaction is like though

i bet they just want my ssn so they can send me those lame credit card apps..

just my .02

They want your SS # because they are opening an electronic checking account for you.

I used c2it for months & it has so many flaws I could go on for pages but what good would it do when you're not listening anyway. Do you really think that these people have never used the service & are just making things up to BS you?

Yeah you and everyone else. That's why no one ever pays with c2it.

Well lot of people DO pay with C2IT and lot of sellers DO take Paypal. Hot deals is not about common good and socialism. It would do the IT industry no good if all the people keep getting free access points and $10 maxtor HDDs.

so many of you seem to be having problems with c2it, but i've been using them almost right after they started it up and i think it's great. i've a citibank mastercard for a few years so making a purchase wasn't a problem for me. the great thing for me is, if you use the cc to "add cash," you can use it right away and deposit it to your checking account. in a way this is like a free cash advance hm? but anyways i've used c2it a lot for selling on ebay and have never had a problem. i do admit the website can seem a little quirky sometimes (most of the time it's fine for me) and i hope they'll get that fixed soon enough.

for those of you who seem to be pissed because you get charged for cash advance, here's my advice. DON'T USE ANOTHER CC!! duh.... you shouldn't have to sign up for a citibank cc but i think you can add cash for free using a checking account.

but anyways, c2it is free for now and in my books that's a good thing.

now that paypal is belong to ebay, they'll eventually raise fees. when more flock to c2it, eventually they'll charge fees unless another well-backed pay company shows up
