Better Video Card = Better Monitor Visuals?

I have a question for you guys: I'm currently running my system with the original Geforce (SDR 32MB) and I was wondering, would monitor quality be better if let's say I upgrade to a GTS or Radeon? Thanks!

If you upgraded to a Radeon you would likely see an increase in 2D and 3D image quality. When I upgraded from a voodoo 3 (which is known as a pretty good card for 2D quality) to a Radeon I noticed a HUGE jump in both 2D and 3D quality. As for a GTS, I suspect you wouldn't likely see much if any improvement in your monitors image quality.

Upgrading to a GTS, you wouldn't see much.

When I went from a voodoo banshee to a Radeon, I noticed very little 2d quality increase (2d must have been good on banshee) but much better 3d quality. The colors look SO MUCH better and realistic. And I just got the 7068 drivers, which supposedly improve it more.

Well, I've only seen one GF1 in a system, and I thought the 2D was awful. I ran a Elsa Gladiac (GF2 GTS) in my system for a couple of weeks. The 2D was much better than the GF1, but still not what I consider acceptable. I just picked up an ATI Radeon and love it. Crisp 2D, outstanding 3D quality. The visually quality is close the that of the Matrox G400 that I'm replacing (2D is about the same, 3D is even better). The GF2 is faster than the Radeon (by as much as 25%), but the Radeon just looks so much better.
