I just pick up a second Barton 2500+ and this time the multiplier was LOCKED. Here's the stepping:

My other Barton 2500+ is unlocked however the most stable I could get it to run and pass Prime 95 for 2 days straight was at 2.2ghz (11x200) so I was not messing with the multiplier anyway.
Also, on an odd strange note, the locked CPU actually runs cooler than my unlocked one when they are running at the same speed (2.2ghz, 11x200). I'm going to end up keeping the locked CPU since its running about 6 degrees celsius cooler. I guess its a give and take kind of deal, give up unlocked multiplier, got lower temps.
Even with the locked multiplier these chips have been a hot deal. $375 processor for $90 just by switching the FSB in the bios from 166 to 200.
