BF2 and joystick, a question?

I hate flying planes using mouse/keyboard. Has anyone been able to play or fly BF2's choppers or jets with a joy stick? BF2 does not seem to recornize mine a Saitek X52, at all. Is it another quirkiness from EA that requires a workaround? Help or linky is welcomed.

joysticks work fine.

You have to do all of the bindings by hand in the bf2 controls subpanel.

I'm using an x45, I'm sure the x52 works fine too, you just haven't bound the controls.

By binding you meant, learn the x52's button from the BF2's CtrlsubPanel?
