BF2 Is capped at 100FPS

When I play HL2 it goes upwards of 200FPS but BF2 caps @ 100...
Why is that?

no reason, its just a decision they made to cap the game engine at 100fps, just like ID decided to cap Doom3 to 60FPS

probably something to do with physics and how fast things can happen, since this is an online game and people have varying computing power, you wanna keep people together so things work abit nicer (just a guess)

Last I looked is 30 fps is around the max our eyes can distinguish.

More might just give it a bit smoother appearance but we won't notice it that much.

24 (movie) frames / second APPEARS to be smooth motion video. However, the human eye can detect differences in objects at over 200 FPS.
