Game runs perfect under single player. I may try all setting on high... Haven't had time to play online yet. Does online play stress your box a lot more??

At what resolution are you playing BF2? 1280x1024
What level of eye candy (Low, Medium, High)? 2/3 Medium, 1/3 high.
What level of FSAA? 4x

What videocard do you use? 9800 Pro

Are you pleased with how smooth your game play is? Yes, the only time it's low is when I'm standing on top of the hotel looking at the flag.
If not, what needs to be improved? (Hardware upgrade, game patch, new drivers?) I just ordered an X850 XT PE to help me out.

Videocard = 6600GT
CPU = AMD64 2800+
RAM = 1Gig

Game play is very smooth. I could run the detail setting higher and or turn on FSAA but I'm enjoying the high FPS I'm getting. The only thing that slows me down is a laggy server.

1152X864 (highest my monitor will do at 85hz, tried 1600x1200 nfsaa and ran really good too but hurt my eyes)
everything high
4XFSAA

6800GT
Mobile XP at 2.2ghz
1GB

Quite smooth, but occasionally will pause briefly. This happens mostly at the beginning of the game (loading new textures) and virtually goes away the more I play it. Really fun game. They improved everything over DC.

Medium (a couple are at high)
2x AA

2700+/ nforce2 board
1gig dual channel
6800 unlocked

Runs well. AA with high setting becomes very choppy. Can play at high without AA, or mostly medium with AA turned on.

Game runs VERY smooth. I am using the 71.89 drivers so I have the shadow bug but I don't want to use the drivers that come with the game. I am going to try 1680x1050 tonight as I am tired of playing with that dumb black bar on the sides.

All my playing so far has been done on singleplayer with bots on vetran

FSAA was developed when it was thought low resolution monitors would be the standard due to production costs. One typically uses one or the other, not both. I'd recommend using a low resolution 1024x768 and 4x or higher FSAA. As a test you can turn FSAA off and run at 1600x1200. I bet it creates a larger frame rate hit though.

Very pleased, runs well on my system at the above settings at roughly 40-50FPS
I can't wait for the real game to come out, the 10 min. time limit pisses me off.

Runs great, Only slows down if there is a a firefight with alot of smoke, I have the view distance turned down a little though since I dont snipe.

Only improvements I think need to be made is to the shadows, they dont look "smooth" to me, even with AA on.

I am pleased so far. I havn't really tried to improve my settings.. been too busy playing.
Hopefully the full game runs like this.. I havn't run in to anything major that needs to be patched.

Laptop:

800x600
Low settings
ATI Mobility 9700 Pro
Athlon 64 3400+
512MB

Gameplay is very smooth but with the graphics settings at minimums it is very ugly, i.e. looks worse that BF1942. I think I need another 512MB of RAM.

Desktop:

1024x768
High settings
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Athlon 64 3000+
1024MB RAM

Gameplay is generally very smooth, some brief stuttering in areas of high activity, but looks great! Probably help to upgrade to a 6600GT or even higher...

High (shadows off)
0xFSAA

6600GT (XFX)/128mb
AMD XP 2800
1 GB RAM (2x512MB PC3200)

Runs great in Single and Multiplayer online

System#2
800x600
Medium (shadows off)
0xFSAA

ATI AIW Radeon 8500/128mb
AMD Sempron 3000
512MB RAM (2x256MB PC2700)

Runs great in Single and Multiplayer, graphics still decent (BFV level)

Suprising that I don't need 2GB ram to run it at an very worthwhile level to me... we'll see when the full game comes out.

1280x1024x32 on stock Radeon 9700 Pro, AXP2.3GHz, 1GB@200MHz, about all settings on medium except for filtering on high.

I turned FSAA to 4X in the game options but for some reason it isn't applying any AA :frown:

1024x768/32/Medium/0xFSAA on an XP1800+@2.2GHz/1024MB/128MB FX5900XT

It runs okay, certainly playable. I could probably do with a graphics card upgrade, though.
