BF2: special Forces just came

i just got special forces expansion in about 1 hour ago (thought it was coming tomorrow). since there are no servers up for it yet i've just been playing single player. i got a free t-shirt with it too:thumbsup:
it's pretty cool. good ol' fun BF2 with some added features. night vision is pretty snazzy, some of the new guns are ok but sound kinda weak. i havent tried any of the new vehicles but im sure they are just as fun.

They should have worked to fix the bugs in the current one before launching an expansion pack.

yea i can only play single player right now. it gets kinda boring with the AI but at least im learning the new maps/vehicles

There's really only 2 bugs atm, and they aren't that serious. Patch 1.3 was pretty big, I wouldn't even be surprised if the expansion didn't have those bugs.

They have 2 divisions of DICE working on BF2. DICE in Canada is responsible for the expansion, DICE in Sweeden or somewhere around there brought us the lovely 1.03 patch.

I think the other one that your thinking of (DICE) is from Germany - which I usually get confused because they always call it Deutschland (in which Deutch gets me thinking of Dutch- Holland)

Dice is from Sweden. They are doing BF2 and its patches. They are the same people that brought Pinball Dreams/Fantasies for Amiga some 15 years ago.

Dice Canada was behind Battlefield Vietnam and now Special Forces.

hopefully they fixed more bugs with the expansion but more than likely, they created more bugs.

Well, the server browser for one. I never change my settings so I don't have a big problem with this bug. And then the extremely rare mislabeled teammates.

extremely rare? every time i play this game i run into people with the wrong colored nametags...

there's also a bug with c4, several browser bugs, and a few others.

Don't forget the AT and ground mounted rockets going right through vehicles. If you have never experienced this then you have not played the AT class enough. So very annoying.
