Ok, so after buying new memory (1GB GeIL PC3200 [2x 512MB Dual Channel]), the problem persisted. I then took apart my video card hsf and found the problem, or did I... The heatsink on the GPU was full of dust, right by the blower. Its the piece you cant see because its coverd by the painted metal plate. I cleaned that up along with the other parts. I then cleaned the base of the heatsink and the GPU and applied new thermal compound (arctic ice 5). I closed everything up. This little tune up dropped my temps by over 10 degrees C. I now idle at 48 degrees C and go up to mid to upper 70's (max) during BF2 and COD2. Now, here's the trick, I still get glitches and texture flicks, although not as much, in BF2. COD2 runs fine, but BF2's problem is ongoing.
I hope this will help some people, because I read that eVGA's tend to run hot and people buy aftermarket hsf etc... This tune up did the temperature job for me, but didnt fix my problem in BF2. If anyone has any info on how to fix this. Please reply, it would be greatly appreciated.
