its CODdlefield... at least metro is...

Na, you can run around in COD, you cant in this game or youre dead in 5 seconds. Also, in COD there arnt tons of bushes that all contain people hiding in them.

You cant endlessly camp in COD. You can get a few camp kills but youll have to move after that. Thats one of the things Im liking better in COD. They make camping nonviable by showing enemy fire in the mini map, unless the person is using a suppressor, but suppressors cripple your range. A person that stays stationary in COD will be dead soon, which keeps camping to a minimum.

nothing wrong with camping if you're on the defending team (except maybe for the enemy spawn). if you're camping on the offensive team then you're doing it wrong and will lose horribly.

And camping is a losing strat in cod.

I don't like either series (anymore) but just as an aside, I know of at least 3-4 camping spots PER MAP in MW2, so I'm not sure what you're really trying to say or prove. All of said camping spots are easily used for an entire game.

This is a complete lie. I rarely play COD when my room mate is screwing around for a bit, but when he hands me the controller, he tells me all the camping areas and I end up with a 10:1 KDA consistently. Everyone runs around like idiots so you easily pick them off.

If you know what you're doing you can camp several places in almost any map and any game. If you have a partner to keep any potential sneak attacks or grenades at bay the two of you could go all day.

My initial reactions were terrible, but that was directly related to the performance I was getting. I had just reinstalled windows last week, and had forgotten to turn crossfire back on.

I set everything to low anyway, enabled crossfire, and I'm getting 80+fps now. Wasn't impressed with the graphics on ultra. It was like night and day. I couldn't hit anything before, and now, I can sufficiently say I'm kicking ass.

I agree that the current map feels EXACTLY like bc2 with a more urban environment... with that said, I can see how this game is going to kick some major ass with the good aiming/movement/weapon feel combined with bf2 style maps and gameplay.

I was pissed first, but now I see the light. This game is going to own. About time we had some good PC games out at the same time (RO2 & BF3).

I really don't understand most people's issues with the game right now. I love battlelog. I love operation metro. The gameplay is superb. Few bugs, but nothing game breakign now that they turned off the terrain deformation for the beta(already fixed in final they said).

My only major problem with the game is that you can't choose your squad. Makes it impossible to do well at times. When you're on a squad with 3 idiots on "homo island" sniping it's just about impossible to plant anything. They really need to allow us to select our own squad like in BC2. that way the good players can team up and lets the snipers be on their own.

I got to play caspian for 2 whole rounds and while I like metro, caspian was just mind blowing.

.

Just because you love battlog and metro doesn't me others do. I find Battlelog to be a waste overall and rather just a decent in game browser, but I can deal with it overall, I have no choice. But Metro is a trash map, more so the first part, I like the middle parts of it only but I'm not willing to play that crap. Also doesn't help that I find Rush to be a crappy game mode anyways, I am a conquest person through and through. Since the Caspian servers went down, I tried playing one round of Metro and haven't started the game up since then.

I challenge you to a game of MW2 then. I beat Ill whoop the pants off you. Well probably not anymore, I havent played in who knows how long.

And I only have it on PC.

Anyway, you fire a round in COD, I know where you are, its that simple. Campers never win in COD, its people who run and gun.

Unless youre counting moving from spot to spot, which wouldnt really be camping since it involves moving.

Camping appears to be part of the game in this beta, its just the way it is. You try to play run and gun and youre not going to live long.

And you know what youre talking about in COD.

Lol, I never said there were no camping spots. I said camping isnt viable in COD. You spend the majority of the game in COD hiding in a bush and Ill put money on it Ill beat you. And thats in team death match which is what most people play.

Hard to believe you could beat anybody when you don't even know how to multi-quote. :hmm:

Probably because "multi-quoting" isnt a needed skill in COD. :hmm: Or were you just trolling?

*multi quote test* well look at that. Learned something new. And to think all this time I was quoting, posting, then quoting again and editing my first post.

Anybody else have the bug/situation where you no longer see any IDs on people, and no blue or (for spotted) red triangles?

More importantly, has anybody else figured out how to fix it? I shut down Origin and switched servers and no luck.

I know BF3 is going to be a very resource intense game. I'm planning to build a brand new ITX-base computer. That limits to what components that I can use and at the same time, watch out for the amount of heat that GPU will produce.

If I set the visuals in BF3 to low, what kind of specifications will ensure that my min. fps will not be less than 30fps? I'm thinking of going with an Intel SNB 2500 and an AMD 6950. Will that be enough?

Thanks!

Er, you are going with a 2500 with a 6950 in an ITX case and don't want a bunch of heat? Good luck with that. I actually have not seen an ITX case that allow for a full length GPU. What case are you going with?

As for settings, that setup will run the game at high settings across the board just fine and net well over 30fps @1080P.

How about the 68xx series? Will that be sufficient to push over 30fps for 1080p with medium quality?

Check out the Silverstone SG-05, SG-06, or SG-07 cases.
