^^^ why the snark comment, BF1942 didn't have a single player either other than playing the maps in historical order against bots. It's a legitimate question I think.
Well, I mostly mean that there are some serious bugs present, like taking double damage if you're sprinting and get hit, and not being able to rebind keys. For the key rebind, despite how jaded I am even I find it hard to believe they won't fix that before launch.
Some of their design decisions haven't been inspiring, like not being able to modify settings from the killcam window, and the squad management in game. And Some weapons are hilariously overpowered. UMP is just absurd the DMg/accuracy/lack of recoil, I'm destroying people with it and I'm not that good at shooters.
But nothing is game-breaking bad. Basically is it's a flawed game, but not broken and still fun enough and I think will have enough content/merit to be worth a day one purchase.
Regarding Singleplayer. there is a spot for Single-Player/Co-Op in the top of battle log. They also have this trailer for FaultLine they were releasing earlier this year so I assume they have a singleplayer campaign -
