BF3 vram problems i think?

So when i play bf3 my 560 ti tops of at 1016 then the graphic error problems happened like triangler shapes sometime blackouts . i play on a 32 inch lcd t.v 1920x1080 hd . so do i need a 570 2.5 gb or a 580 with a 3gb ? any ideas!

Those types of graphical errors are usually caused by either software problems(drivers and/or the game itself but are relatively rare) or having the memory clocked too high. Before you go buying another card you should try lowering the memory speed, and if that doesn't help try some different drivers.

gtx560ti is a pretty capable card still and going to a gtx570 would be a waste for you with the 7000 series from radeon about here.

I would drop your settings if you got hbao enabled as well as msaa those two use the most vram.

Also to avoid conflicts shut off aero as well this has saved me many headaches .

I think I've been having problems similar to yours. I only get errors in BF3.

That is a known problem, try the NVIDIA BETA drivers if you dare.

They are supposed to try fix that exact problem and they seem to have reduced a lot of the artifacts for me. (I still get crashes, artifact like junk, etc. but less frequently)

Anyways, you may need to tone down the settings if it starts to lag and the FPS drop too low.

I just noticed I have the 285.79 BETA drivers, and there are much newer ones available. Dunno if I'll upgrade or not. There are still a lot of issues but just a bit less frequent with the 285.79 for me.

Oh yeah, and to the point. The triangles and soforth are not due to VRAM, it's buggy drivers. If the vram fills it won't start artifacting but will slow down to a slideshow.

I also wouldn't recommend BETA drivers in general, but being BF3 and nvidia 5 series seem to be a pretty potent combination.

What is 1016 ? That is very low for your memory speed if thats what it is,,, You buy a 580 then you gonna feel bad when the 680 comes out and boasts twice the performance,, of your 450 dollar 580,,, You have a good card already,, to run BF3 at 1080p , 8xAA 16xAF ,,,,,,,,,, figure out whats wrong with it.. Maybe manually change the speed of the fan to 100 percent with riva tuner when you game,, then take it back down to 30 percent at desktop. Dont OC and use stock speeds, let us /me know.. thx, gl

Are you playing on high or ultra? I can play on high just fine, but switching to ultra will cause my card to choke; lack of Vram.

Are you refering to 1016 as your Vram usage?

Thanks for all the replies and yes to Ehpexs vid that is the same thing happening to mine . Also 1016 is my vram I am playing Ultra settings . the only way to play with ultra is when lower my resolution to 1366x786 or do custom were I can keep my vram at around 1005 or under . No other game eats up my vram like this . Only when my vram is at 1016 for about 1 min I can expect these glitches to happen thats why I think its my vram ! I want to play on 1920x1080 so I was looking at msi 560 ti oc 2gb .

My temps on load is about 90 - 99 celcius an I tried all the drivers and beta but revert back to the newiest driver not the beta . So im thinking about buying a better card couse I have a feeling BF3 is setting the bar for future game and it has to be my vram its only 1 gb . So any suggestions on cards ?

And I am a new pc gamer and I want to play all my games maxed out now and the future . Im gonna buy a new Card with this income taxe couse the 560 ti get lower fps then I expected on all my games maxed out ! so any suggestions
