BF3 with Xfire 7970s in Eyefinity

If you are running xfire 7970s in Eyefinity, could you give me your impression of BF3 in this setup?

1. How are the FPS in Ultra setting FXAA high, MSAA 4x (or off)
2. Any noticeable stuttering or screen tearing?
3. Your overall experience

I am willing to pull the trigger on 2 of these cards but wanted to get feedback first. Much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

My BIL 6970 and my 460SLI maxes out this game, I think 2x 7970 would be an overkill.

Id head over to Hardocp.com and their forum for input on Eyefinity with crossfire 7970s, they may also post here, but there are alot more "hard"core graphiccard buyers over there.

Hey mate, I am a big bf3 fan.. i have had 2 systems for this and i run triple screen eyefinity.

first was a AMD build
FX-8150 (at 4.1 ghz)
16gb ram
1 x HD7970

this system gave the following results:
medium = 40 - 50 fps
high = 33 - 40 fps (still very playable)
ultra = 23 - 33fps


the next system is the following
i7 3770k (at 4.2ghz)
16gb ram
2 x HD7970

this system gave the following results:
medium = 80 - 90 fps
high = 64 - 70fps
ultra = 51 - 69fps

Note: I play the game on ultra only now with everything on full.

As for GPU usage both cards are nearly fully utilized first at 98% second at 88-95%

I found Hardocp.com the least helpful when it comes to Eyefinity with crossfire 7970s.

http://www.overclock.net/f/ has an official amd rep and tester. Likely the highest amount of Eyefinity with crossfire 7970s users present that i go to.

Then http://www.rage3d.com/board/ has official beta testers present.

And lastly http://forums.guru3d.com/index.php has official beta testers present, but not so much.

As a current crossfire/trifire 7970 user, Radeon pro and/or msi afterburner are your friend. I find multigpu to be unusable without running a framerate limiter or the dynamic frame limiter in Radeon pro. Without those there is too much microstutter for me. With those, the end result seems as though it could be smoother that a single gpu set up.

I play at 5040x1050 single 7970 oc 1200mhz.
dont play fps games with settings high due to fps for me needs to be high.
rts/mmo and such is another matter.
if ms happens which is a technical issue with dualcards and low fps mainly either use radeonPro or lower settings.
I find my 3 screen set up much works as a single screen in how I play with it.

personally I tend to stay away from dualcards from either brand.
