BF4 to be bundled with next AMD video cards

AMD has reached a deal with EA to bundle Battlefield 4 with AMD’s next round of video cards. The offering of Battlefield 4 with the new video cards is said to be part of the ‘never settle’ campaign. The campaign will start later this year, but an official start date has yet to be announced.

As to which cards might be bundled with Battlefield 4 or when you might be able to pick up said bundle, that also has yet to be decided. While rumors seem to continue to indicate that EA has already settled on an October 29th release date for Battlefield 4, the company has yet to confirm that this is the case; and we doubt that we will get an official release date till E3 in June.
So, in the meantime, if you thinking about buying both a new video card and Battlefield 4, you might want to want to wait until this fall.

I doubt it, but I think they don't decided what other games will they bundle. These are AMD GE games (based on what I heard): GRID 2, Company of Heroes 2, Lost Planet 3, Total War: Rome 2, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Watch Dogs, Thief 4, Raven`s Cry

This. EA knows they are up against STEAM and that plenty of people haven't started using Origin because of it. BF3 pulled people in and BF4 will keep those people and pull even more in. It's in EA's best interest to get as many people, as quickly, using Origin as possible.

You also have to remember, they might be getting a 'free' version of BF4, but i can almost guarantee that those people will buy future expansion packs for the game, hence more revenue for EA.

Also the number of people buying cards will be small in comparison to total revenue. Yet will give them more players. They have call of duty to compete with so the more the merrier.

BF4 is a game that would sell well regards of bundles, I'm sure EA is getting a kick back of some kind otherwise it wouldn't make sense to cannibalize their sales out of those buying new AMD cards.

As long as it isn't costing AMD too much, this is a smart idea. Big games like this having advertising and bundles centered around AMD, will buy mind share in the masses.

Now the key is... when are those new cards coming out? BF4 is planned for Q4 2013, possible that is when the video cards are scheduled, even better if AMD could get them out in some meaningful quantity a month in advance with this bundle. They could capitalize a lot on the hype.

BF4 is out October 29th via a leak on the xbox website. So if it is coming with new cards, they'll be out before then.

Have to say I bought my card because of the bundle. I got crysis 3 and bioshock which I couldn't believe. Free games are normally some old rubbish - not A class titles. AMD did well to sway me from my beloved nVidia.
