I've found the one of the sellers flexy is talking about, and yes they are reputable - I've ordered several times from them.
*However*, they are also known for often misprinting prices. This is obviously one of them. One might be inclined to do a pre-order and see if they honor the price even though it is a mistake. Newegg had a similar incident a while back where they listed an X800XT Platinum Ed for $450. A handful of people took advantage and were rewarded thanks to someone's incompetence. Immediately after realizing the error, they raised the price to $650.
If I can pick up a X850XT PE for $450, would I do it? Of course.
I don't think these things are going to materialize until February/March, but we'll see soon enough whether ATI is full of $h1t or not.
**edit**
I found three more, one for $465, $485, and $500, all low men on the totem pole.
There's one listing $489 - looks like it has a so-so reputation. After looking some more, I found at least 8 places that are taking pre-orders at < $500. Atacom is asking $1500!
OK, so the question I ask is why would these outfits be selling $100 below MSRP, in some cases below the price of a crappy X800 Pro, especially when the more well-known retailers are doing $650 and up?
The only one I would trust is the 1st one - the others aren't worth a lick. The arrival dates are fuzzy at best... some say Jan 1, some say Jan 31, and some say Feb - Mar.
