Yay, my 8800GT shipped today. They didn't charge tax on my debit card either, just the $250, despite the fact that it showed the total with tax when I clicked the order button.

I got backordered too. I don't think they really had a stock at all - just a week sale.

Mine shipped today, tracking # says it's sheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I didn't cancel in time, so I'll probably just throw it up on ebay when it comes, make a quick ~$50, and then buy it again after Christmas sometime for $200 or so

Yeah, that was bizarre. Sunday morning I ordered, it was listed as backordered for half a day, then it shipped and it's arriving tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

What the heck. My card looks like it was tampered with. The sticker on the anti-static bag was ripped in half, with another sticker on top of it. Also the BIOS sticker on the card has the version crossed out with a permanent marker.

Anyone else got one like that?

Not uncommon if the bios was reflashed at the factory. Might have been caught in QC and sent back for reflash before shipping out of factory. It's a BFG (lifetime warranty), don't worry. ) Have fun.

BFG Support is awesome. Everytime I've RMA'd product, their response has been FAST and most of the time the card was replaced with an upgrade... Case in point. once I sent back a 5700 and they sent me a 5900, once I sent a 5900 they returned a 6800GT OC... Also happened to a good friend of mine. Was I happy? You can be certain. I have every reason to support BFG and they are the only company offering no questions asked lifetime warranty.

My Anti Static Bag wasn't ripped but my bios sticker is also crossed out with a permanent marker.

It shipped from Ohio, I live in west Michigan, so yeah, pretty close... Just got it ~30 min ago.

On a side note, my CC has yet to be charged, and I've got the thing in hand, it isn't even listed in my "pending transactions" which bb.com orders always are listed in right away. Any chance they'll forget to charge me?

Has anyone else received their card and not been charged yet?

Mine shipped yesterday and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. VERY NICE!!!

At first I was regretting my purchase, but since $250 is basically MSRP and the $30 or so is worth it to me to get it before Christmas, I'm fine. I also live in Massachusetts, but the card shipped from Ohio. Maybe UPS isn't so bad after all.

Well I hit up the local Best Buy and they were OOS (NYC 5th and 45th) but the gut was a gamer and did give me a raincheck for the $249 price. Computer said they are not due in till middle of december so not sure what the raincheck is worth

You should have gone to the one in Columbus Circle. Says it's in stock online. If you really want it now you should buy it and pick it up (that's what I did).

runs crysis like crap w/ even 2xaa on dx10 mode (acerr q6600 2gig ram sata500 hd..) stutter and foilage appears in waves during redraw.....tolerable in -dx9 mode

could definitely be vista's clumsy disk writing i/o ....will defrag harddrive now nevertheless and see.

well at least it got here before thxgiving....
