BFG 8800GT OC @ Best Buy for $250 + 12% coupon ~ $220?

Good deal for sure, but wasn't there a thread a while back where a few people chimed in with having hardware problems with BFG GT's possibly due to a bad batch?

must be regional or something, because i have a 10%/12% mailed coupon pack in hand... it's good thru today, and is good for vid cards...

i didn't have time to hunt bby's for the card this weekend, but may drop by one today... i get a feeling that this was a low stock deal, though, since a week ago my local bby (orlando east) didn't even have a spot on the shelf for this (or any card better than a 8600gts) card...

I doubt it. You might be able to log into your Reward Zone thing on Best Buy's site and print it out. But I don't think so...

I think im gonna have to complain then. I didn't get the other coupon till a day after it expired.

None of the stores in my area have the card in stock, but you can still order the card online for $250, which doesn't seem like too bad of a deal for an OC card right now. Shipping is free, but there are taxes.

Also: Ordered mine yesterday morning from the site, and the order status changed to backordered yesterday. This morning it went back to processing and then shipped. If you get a backorder notice, don't get too discouraged!

Epic magic double edit: does this come with any software other than the drivers? :\

I bought mine last Wednesday with a 10% coupon and I just got it price matched today at lunch no questions asked. $252 down to $222 before tax. The coupon was still applied to the $279 price. I saved a couple of bucks because they just refunded a straight $30 + tax so I'm not complaining. I don't think I ever thought I would say this, but I'm so glad I bought this at BestBuy. Good card so far too.
