Ditto, how can one find out if it has 2.2ns mem without removing the memory heat sinks?

You mean the card didn't come with CoD? I wish I had waited to get from Newegg too. I only found out a day after I ordered that Newegg carries them.

Hey I just found out the nVidia utilities display the core gpu temp. Cool. Or not so cool. Mine runs 50c. After running benchies it gets up to 56c or so. Anybody else have temps? (It also says my ambient temp is 37c. Doesn't give humidity or barometric pressure, however)

Later generation of GPUs have thermal diode built in the chip. I believe this reported temperature is typically 10º higher than off-chip thermal diodes. I don't remember which one's driver actually would throttle back the GPU if it gets to hot (before self destruct =))

And can be upgraded with a Bios change to a 5950!!!! (though some are reporting losing TV out, but the performance jump is there!)

Interesting card and deal....might have to look into it!

Not that great of a deal IMO. It's $170 + 5.75 shipping.

GameVe now has it for $171 with free shipping.

But newegg's includes CoD which costs about $30 dollar itself. Together with the peace of mind that your order should go through without problem, it should be just as good.

i ordered mine from gameve tuesday. i checked newegg first, but they did not even list one. card arrived from gameve thurs. vivo included, 2.2ns memory, retail box (but no CoD).

those who got one w/ CoD from newegg are lucky, newegg lists the card now but shows "out of stock".

anyways, aside from the fact the card is huge (i had to do some modifications as it created "dead" spots in my case as the card blocked circulation), mine is clocked and running stable @ 5950u speed (475/950).

bummed i missed out on CoD, but a great card nonetheless, and an outstanding value.

There's actually a sticker on the front of the card that has a number at the bottom.
Mine's got HY5DU283222AF-22
I feel like it's saying I have Hyundai memory chips with a 2.2ns rating.
Of course the sticker could be a lie if they wanted it to be.

With shipping an order sent to Canton, Michigan would come to $167.75. Appears to be the lowest price so far.

I hope the e-stores selling 5900 NU have a SH*T-LOAD of cards and I hope there's a LOT of 9800 Pro's out there too because the low low prices on 5900 NU's seem to be helping drop the price of Radeon 9800 Pro's FINALLY (i.e., the prices have dropped ~$50 over the last ~2-3 weeks for the 9800 Pro's).

I really wanted a 9800 Pro, but I'm not willing to spend $200 on ANY video card. I picked up the BFG 5900 NU (especially for the VIVO), but I'll also buy a 9800 Pro if the retail version comes down to ~$190. It may be a few more months (or never) if the past year is any indicator (i.e., 9700 Pro's STILL sell for ~$200).

I wish Newegg would get these back in stock. With Call of Duty for $175 shipped, it's a no brainer. You could sell the game for $25 instantly in the FS/FT forum here if you didn't want the game.

Those of you who have this card, what version of NVDVD 2.0 does it come with? The research I have done suggests that only eVGA cards come with all sound modes and frame capturing enabled, whereas other bundled releases are OEM; that is, player-only capability with 2-channel sound. Any clarifications would be welcome.

My version of nvDVD is 2.55
It lets me pull this up under Help "?":
This section describes the following additional features included in NVDVD Player:

Zooming and Panning
Zoom to any size, or zoom a widescreen video to best fit a 4x3 size screen.

Repeating Chapters
Set up NVDVD Player to repeat playback of the current chapter.

Capturing Frames
Capture the current frame and copy to the clipboard, save to a file, or set as the Desktop wallpaper.

Capturing Audio
Record any portion of the DVD audio and save as a WAV file.

Bookmarking
Bookmark one or more of your favorite DVD scenes.
Hope that helps

Well s***, I tried to do a frame capture and it sent me to the upgrade website.
So "Nojoy"

I bet even if they do get it back they won't include Call of Duty anymore, that was just too good of a deal.

edit:

Just received mine from Newegg today, surpised to have it delivered that fast, but I can indeed verify that Call of Duty is in the box for those that lucked up and got it at Newegg before it ran OOS.

I saw these BFG 5900's were on close out at Bestbuy tonite for $199, but of course, they were all gone. Is there something about this card that's making it be closed out?
