Who is the YODEL guy? What's Yodeling in the valley anyway?

All joking a side, it's a good card. It's in my server PC. I just really like my ATI. I will give the FX's this. Their cards LOOK kewler than the ATi's. My 5900 has 2 fans, which is nice for cooling.

THIS should help you

Thats the ad I pointed out to them, they said look at the words "For a limited time only and while supplies last..."

yeah, this makes sense. when i bought mine at fry's last week they just received a new shipment and all the new pkgs didn't have the CoD stickers on them. only the existing beatup boxes had them.

Strange, I'm pretty sure I ordered after everyone said they changed it from Retail to "OEM."

Make sure you don't have a popup blocker running. The coupon code comes up via a popup window when you click Buy Now. I just tried it, and it's still there. It says free gift with your order, so I dunno if that means tshirt, keychain, or something else or not. But I got a white nvidia tshirt
You made it sound as if the coupon code was specifically for an nVidia T-shirt (because buying an nvidia card). Maybe I misread your post...

Yes, I did get the free gift code. But when they send these free shirts, it's always some XXL shite that no one can reasonably fit into...

I received mine from gameve.com today and it did come with CoD. I put my card into my system (Athlon64 300+) and can run Madden 04, Flight Sim 04, and Nascar 2003 all at 1600x1200 is full gorgeous resolution.

I replaced a Geforce4 Ti 4600 which was awesome as well - but this 5900 rocks. My system and CPU stay cool and you can't even hear the fans. The blue light is nice as well. It comes with a VIVO dongle, DVI to analog connector, the driver CD which also has some fun demos, and Call of Duty.

I'm pretty happy with my $169 purchase!

I second that inquiry, sunfalcon - seems gameve was doing a "switcheroo" on retail, subbing an OEM instead... ? Let us know, thanks in advance.

LOL. Probably not. It would take searching a whole 5 pages (50ppp) to find that out.

This might only have been a 2 page thread if not for the fanboy.

Well, the one I received was a Large. I can't remember if they asked me what size or not though.

Hello, Yes I did. That's how this thread got started.
It's a retail card. I just wish they would pack the retail box in a thicker shipping box with some extra padding around the inner box. The plastic framework/packing around my card was cracked, but the exterior box they shipped it in didn't look damaged. I'm thinking the retail box was damaged before packing.
Their price has dropped since I ordered mine.
They don't offer a price guarantee.
See the original post for more prices

Regarding GameVe and "retail/OEM"....seems some people received Retail and some received OEM from GameVE. Since their web-page does not specifically indicate "Retail", they could technically ship Retail OR OEMs. At least the description on Pricewatch indicates "Retail" and it links to GameVe's web-site for the 5900 NU.

So...it you receive an OEM from GameVe, try to get it replaced (for free) with a Retail card and use the Pricewatch description as ammo for your argument.

Just my 2 cents.

Okay everyone, there is something that is making me REALLY confused here. The package without COD is *NOT* OEM! There are two versions of the retail card, one that came with COD and one that didn't! So are some people actually getting OEM cards from gamve (typically a brown box with no cables/manuals, etc, just a bare card), or are they getting the retail box that just doesn't come with CoD?

yes, elavorate on that

just because it does not have CoD it does NOT mean it's OEM(only if it's missing cables/cd/retail packaging)

did anyone actually receive an oem? or is this just another case of "the sky is falling!"?

as far as the CoD, yes, retail may or not have include, but it will incl. dvi to vga, vivo cables, drivers, etc. and come in a 'retail' box.

A budy of mine at work got his from gameve and it was retail and it came with CoD. His order was placed this past Monday or Tuesday and he received it Friday. So far there's only been one mention of them "switching" an OEM.
