This yellow triangular sticker that is supposedly on the "true" retail BFG cards - what does the sticker say? Is it attached to the heatsink side, or PCB side?
i bought mine at fry's with CoD for $199. I was going to return it when i saw this deal, but after reading all the "hit & misses" decided to keep it. just installed and no problems...haven't try OC yet. Smart man
The yellow sticker says "CAUTION PLEASE REMOVE THIS PROTECTIVE COVER BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT!". 0-2 the sticker is actually on a clear plastic over which surrounds the heatsink and the fans (front side of the card). i really don't think it matters if had this or not.
As for CoD, yes it does come shrink wrapped.1-1 you should be able to tell if it's wrapped by the retailer since mine is wrapped like a music CD 0-2(like those very smooth plastic that's difficult to open without a knife or something sharp). if it's the heat gun plastic wrap type, then most likely it was re-wrapped by the retailer. the wrap i got was folded at the spine (where the title of CD usually goes).
the DVI to VGA converter, power splitter, and the doggle should have come in a sealed plastic bags. 2-0 and lastly, the paper cd sleeve for the driver should be sealed, 0-2whereas the videostudio 7 sleeve is not.
hope this helps.

^^^ guess it's not even close
Thanks for the info..don't know what they are selling but it's not the card you have.
UPDATE: Talked to BFG tech support again tonight. Guy says these could even be a fake card(s) as has happend to them before on avanced replacement RMAs. He said to call BFG between hours of 7-7 central and talk to a "lead tech" to find out if your card is genuine or not. Also to get to the bottom of thier distribution chain and document your compaints. I will be shooting him a copy of this thread in addition to serials and whatever else he may require. One problem is if you RMA your product with BFG and they find the card a) is not genuine or b) has been flashed they will bill your credit card the full retail cost of the card in addition to all shipping costs incured so it may be better to simply demand a full refund from the vendor.
