The XFX is only worth picking up if you need the dual DVI. The lifetime warranty on the BFG is the better bet otherwise, but I wouldn't recommend either on a monitor with a 16x12 native resolution... You would want at least a GT unless you're not a gamer, then you don't need anything this powerful at all.

Yeah...but...the 6800 GT's are at least $100+ more. Not everyone wants to spend that kind of money on equipment that quickly becomes outdated and rapidly depreciates in value. If your price limit is $175...streching another $30 might be worthwhile for the BFG even though it isn't a 6800 GT. Also, at a cost of $205 compared to $300+ for the 6800 GT, you only have $205 to lose to depreciation and obsolescense.

The 6600 GT and 6800 nu's will play games just fine for years unless you're wealthy and absolutely have to have 1600 x 1200 with full AA/AF.

Are there differences in the favor of the 6600GT versus the 6800 non-GT that makes it a better buy for some people who don't need the speed but might need other enhanced features?

The Dell 2005FPW has both DVI and VGA input, I am not a hard core gamer but I do play games (avg 8-12hrs per month, yes month) that's why I'll be keeping my current 19" NEC CRT monitor to use in conjunction with my new Dell monitor as dual display setup looking for a screen resolution supporting for CRT 1024x768 and LCD 1680x1050, thanks

Definitely first check to see if someone already tried the softmod... that's my bet.

I highly doubt that Outpost is selling refurb cards.

Also the 6800NU will easily support the 2005FPW's resolution.

To the people that got their cards from this deal already, did the HSF look just like the one in the outpost picture? or was it the newer HSF with the dual LED fans? Thanks for your time

This will be my first Geforce card after one Diamond, a Voodoo3 and about 5 Radeons.

Hehe thats pretty awesome.

I went from a Diamond Monster Fusion, to a Vood00 3 3000 to a Radeon 64MB to Radeon 8500 to a Radeon 9800xt.

Might just get this on your trail

Ordered mine Fri 4/29...Received Mon 5/2!

Very happy w/ it....Install was a little tricky: Very big/long card...Back edge was right up against 2nd hard drive & I couldn't connect the power to it. Had to move HD up to higher drive bay.

I get 3dMark03 scores of about 8900 w/ XP3200 (not oc'd). I'm happy w/ that!
