For those who don't know, just be aware that BFG doesn't exist anymore, and there will be no warranty beyond what TD offers (dynamitedata not working again so I can't check what that is.)

With the HD 5770 for about the same price and same performance while using less power running cooler and smaller size, I don't think this is all that good a deal, IMHO anyway.

you'll be better off spending a few dollars more for a GTX 460 768mb, which is quite a bit faster and much quieter and cooler.

260 is more on par with the 4890 then the 5770

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/170?vs=172

The 5770 and 260 are going back and forth with the 260 winning a few more then the 5770 However it isnt by a large enough margin to say the 260 is a drastically better card. It crysis it uses 60 more watts then the 5770 and runs about 5c hotter then the 5770, doesnt offer Dx11 and costs about the same. I really dont see a reason to get the 260.

For 100 dollars neither do i. IMO they're both overpriced at that price point.

4890 beats the 260 in every single category except power consumption, temperature, and fan noise. I think it's safe to say that the 260 is more on the level of the 5770.

I can see going $80 on the 5770 and $70 on the GTX 260, besides that however there isnt much point with much better cards lying not far beyond that price range.

As statd above, about 30% overpriced. Still nto a good deal.

How can you recommend this above your beloved GF104 based GPUs that come in at $115AR?

For a no hassle $100 card, pretty good bang for the buck. But on the other hand, if you love to do rebates and have some extra cash to spare, grab a 460.

Running one right now, gets the job done for every game I play. No plans on upgrading anytime soon.

No real reason to buy that card, especially for that price. It even has a hard time beating a 4870.

Really? how about if you had a gtx260 in your current system and wanted to do a cheap surround system for just 100$ by adding another gtx260?

2 overclocked gtx260 in sli will = a gtx 480,gtx570 or a 6970 at 1080p also. For 100$ thats not a bad upgrade.

Or you could sell your used gtx260 for 80$ and buy a gtx 570 or 6970 for over 300$, but you still spent 220+$ for about the same performance. Not very cost effective.

Had two of these in SLI a while back and they were better than 512MB 4870s in every way (both individually and in CF).

Not sure I'd spend $200 on them now.
