I'm going to build my first comp in a couple weeks and the only part that i have'nt decided on yet is the graphics card. So far i've narrowed it down to the EVGA and the BFG 6800GT's but i'm not shure which i should go with.
The BFG is a bit more expensive, but does come pre overclocked and I believe they have a lifetime warranty. So if you don't mind spending the extra cash go with BFG.
Had a evga ti4400 in the past, it died, quickly. Have a BFG 6800GT now, since last August...still runs like it's new. That's completely subjective, but it's just my experience.
evga is overclock too! jesus i hate it when people lean towards bfg because of the OC title slapped on it. Go with evga, they will pretty much give you a lifetime warrenty plus they have the 90 days step up program... if you decide you want a newer card within the 90 days then all you have to do is pay the diffrence between your current card and the new one. Ive done it twice now and its great.
i really dont like bfg, and have no owned 3 evga cards with no problems what so ever.
Thanks for all the replies . Just got another question. Is the EVGA SLI ready? Cus i'm getting an MSI Neo4 Platinum/SLI with the intention of getting another 6800GT later in the year.
Yeah. The chumbo price is why i asked the question, otherwise it probably would have been the EVGA no question. Now i'm leaning heavily towards the BFG.
Can't get the ultra though, to much for my budget. And the card info still says it ships at stock speeds and comes with a 2-year warranty, not lifetime. I still think that for 20 bucks extra the BFG is woth it.
for some reason i cant find the thing on evgas being overclocked but i know my 6800ultras are... maybe not gts... anyways i would read this before making final decision
I'll have to think about it. To bad i've got no computer right now (i'm in a library, and they're closing) but it might be a good idea to go EVGA and save the $20.
Lamb is an evga fanboy, who hasnt yet psted one viable reason to go wirth evga....go with bfg, they offer a better product for your money, theyre a good american company that'll give your american tech support if for some reason you need it....
im not a fanboy i considered bfg at one point too then went with evga and im really glad i did
to tell you the truth there is no set in stone reason why... but click on the link to that forum i gave you... evga is a good american company too and have just as good if not better tech support
