Hey, is this deal online too for those 6 hours? Cuz if it is screw botherin with the store when they got free shipping!!! Oh yeah i was wondering, how do you preorder without paying for it upfront online? The only prob is i got a 10% off coupon from PC World and i dont think I can use it online, anyways thanks for the heads up on this deal!

wetcat007, Buying online would be a good idea but they are usually out of stock online by the time the sale starts. The best online method is to order for in-store pickup and when you pick it up on Friday, ask to return it and at the same time rebuy it so your receipt date will be valid for the rebate. The reason the date will be wrong is that they charge your credit card when they collect your item for in-store pickup and not the day you go in to pick it up.

Checked my Best Buy -- they said there are 3 in the "system" -- none on the shelves. If I go in on Friday and I see one of you loosers . . . I mean guys getting a card out of a washing machine I'll be pissed

Actually, the policy is that if the item is cheaper in-store when you pick it up, they match it to the lower price. Of course, so close to Black Friday, they often "forget" to pull the item in time. Its madness anyways, if you want to get this card don't leave anything to chance....better off going down there and nabbing it now.

Ok some further clarification...

50 instore and 80 mail in is WRONG!! yes the card is normally 199. so therefore the rebate will spilt up to total $110.

The ad also states "Guaranteed 10 in store". but i usually take Best Buy's guarantees with a grain of salt though.

this ad is from southern california and i have no clue if this deal will be the same all over the US.

oh and while im feeling nice they are also going to be selling MS optical mice for $5 and 150 pack of CDR for FREE. (after rebate of course)

Ok so lemme get this straight b4 i go ahead and order this, if i order and pay 199 online and have it ordered at a store, waiting for me 2 pick it up, I will be able to get 50 dollars back for the instant rebate and another 60 off for the mail in rebate. I've had problems with best buy being stubern about their pricing matching and stuff, so I just wanted to check, I guess I could always return it if they didnt get it right. I got a little inside info and some bad news , this is going to be very limited, you better make sure you are #1 line Fri morning and get a hot ticket if you want this card.

Say around 12-1am if you want the card for certain if you live in a big city...if you are in a smaller city 3am or so would probably be ok.

My Best Buy which is in a smaller city staffs the place at 3am and serves free coffee and donuts to the customers in line.

They have plenty in the aventura, FL store. I bought one. Returned my PNY g4 4200 which i paid $130 for it. I returned it cause it didn't o/c too good.

I bought this asylum 128meg g4 4200 today. It doesn't come with ram heatsink, or the normal g4 core heatsink. It comes with what seems a orb heatsink. Not o/c hardware.

HOWEVER:

I haven't mod or putting heatsink, and the card clocks at 320 core, and 593 mem, highest powerstrip lets me. The problem i get is its just crashes after 5 min. However i'll add ram heatsinks, and a better heatsink, and that should make it stable.

Only comes with card, DVI adapter, cdrom.
Not bad if its $90 after mir.

If its not, i'll just return it.

Woot, decided to get in on this one and called up BB to have them hold one for me. They only had one, but unfortunately they weren't gonna hold over night so I told them I would stop by yet tonight. Called my dad up and he said he would stop by BB since I still had some aerospace homework to finish up, gah! He went to BB, but they couldn't find it and he called me up to ask me who I talked to. I didn't take a name so I said I didn't know but it was the computer department people, then he started ranting about making them give him a Radeon 9700 for the $199.99 price of the one they were supposed to hold. They promptly "found" the reserved one, lol! That would've been sweet, but I don't wanna actually keep a $200 charge on my card anyhow, haha. Mmmm, have it in my hands now. It'll replace my Radeon 7500LE that I got for $57 back in February 2001 as soon as I can get authorization for the IR and the MIR on Friday. This along with the 32x CDRW that I get paid $20 for, the VEO scanner that I get paid $20, and the $146.80 2.4 GHz P4 Dell will make for a great December!

Disaster strikes.. Ahhh i just got a reply from bestbuy now saying that the store i ordered it from no longer carries the card or something? !!!! They gotta have stock somewhere, otherwise it's illeagal to be advertising for it! I tried claling storews to check if I could find any that had in stock but I guess they were promptly closing at 10 according to the machine, but was more so promptly closing at 9:30... I must get this card for that price though! I will hide it somewhere in bestbuy if nessisary! lol anyways just needed to spaz good luck finding the card unless you happen to be in the MINNEAPOLIS area, then screw you! I want!!!! lol
