You all got nothing on us! We got in line @ 12:45am. The second set of people didnt show up until 3:30 or so. We were expecting a large crowd but that didnt happen. By the times to door opened there was probably 200-250 people. There couldnt of been more than 7 or 8 of the cards. My friend and I ended up getting 1 each.

lets see... if you make 5 dolllars an hour, you spent 6 hours on getting this deal. that's 30 dollars it cost you, so 89+30+tax = 120ish plus i assume you don't make 5 dollars an hour (probably more no matter how you look at it since it's night time in freezing weather) you might as well buy it some where else.

but i guess you had fun. good job and congrats.

Ok, I confess. I was one of the jerks that hid one Wed evening. Went ahead and got there right at 6 to see if I could pick up anything else. I followed the mad rush into the store and watched everyone bear toward the computer section. I strolled back to the home theater section, leaned over and plucked it from behind the stacked up speaker boxes.

Got some evil looks when I went back over to the computer section.

Thanks for the heads up wizards23. This will be a nice upgrade from my old Geforce 2mx.

Fritzo.....you need to update your drivers or something. Or maybe your rig is just to slow. My 3Dmark score was 5750 with my Ti200 and went up to 7250 with the Ti4200. Then I went from the 30.82 det drivers to the 40.72 drivers and my score went up to 7890.

i didnt get one, i wish that was tru of my store...everyone went to the video section ...mothers who had no idea what they were doing...it was pretty sad/funny: some ppl grabbed the ti4600 boxes cuz they didnt even know the difference and then the CSR told them that they werent on sale and by that time all the cards were gone</FONT>

It is a Fri/Sat sale, but good luck finding one this late in the game. I strolled right in at 7 picked up my card and got on line. Of course I waited on line to checkout for 75 minutes!!!. But all in all it was definitley worth it. I also picked up 2 boxes of those cds that are free after rebate.

Yahoo, I had a pleasant suprise. I went in on wed and his one of these in amongst a row of pny video cards. The box is the same color, it just has the circle shape insignia as opposed to the pny one. I went at 9:30, about an hour ago, and I noticed right away the shelf was empty of these. I blanced and saw the box with the circle insignia in with the pny's. I grabbed it and jumped around a while. I was on the next isle and a guy asked if he could help me. I said "No I have what I came for". He said "That's not the one that's in the ad". I said "Yes it is". He looked and said "It sure is". I just said "You have to know where to look". I used the 10% coupon and got it for 74.99 after mir. What a deal. Now to put it in and try it out.

guys... unless u r not paying tax.... it is not $75 after mir. i often find thread titles to be misleading becuz ppl do not factor in tax for B&M sales. i guess oregon is the exception here.

i'll get the card for $75 after rebate and TAX (yes, TAX).
Because the csr srewed up and gave me another $10 off on another item i bought when he did the 10% off coupon on the card.

Fritzo, I would definetely recommend upgrading your drivers (if you haven't already; hopefully not). I have the Ti4200 in my main box right now running at default speeds right out of the box and its scording 9452 in 3D Mark with the 40.72 drivers.

I had my ti4200 from Wednesday and walked up to CS with my receipt and asked for a return/rebuy so I could get both rebates. She said it didn't work like that and she proceeded to give me some new paper - one was the MIR form and the other is a "Rebate Receipt", dated 11/29. She stapled it to the rebate form and said that I didn't need to include my original receipt, which is dated 11/27. I didn't argue, and I'm mailing the stuff today along with a "photocopy" of the UPC on the box.

From FW - theres another $20 MIR available. That makes this $69? !!

Limit of one rebate per household or address according to rebate form, but YMMV. the $55 will accept a photocopy of UPC, and the $20 requires the original.

The date is interesting though -

I was at the Douglasville, GA location this morning at 3:45 am, walked right in at 6, and grabbed one of the 15 or so that were on the rack. By the time I made it to checkout around 7am, there were still a few on the shelves.

I also picked up a Mag 19" monitor for $200. The mgr said tomorrow only theres a one day $80 rebate that I can come in and PM/rebuy for. If so, then $120 - not extraordinary, but what the heck.

Just called rebate center to question the $20 rebate. "Matt" told me that this was a rebate that had never "gone live?" and that it shouldnt have been on website. /shrug

The dates look screwed up on that rebate. Personally, I wouldn't trust giving up an original UPC to a rebate you probably won't get and give a copy to a pretty substantial rebate ($55), that you will most certainly get. It's just not worth gaining $20 to lose $55 IMO.

No, I think you had the wrong one. Try this. However, it does say "BestBuy.com rebates are valid with online purchases only." Conceivably it might work if you ordered online and picked up in the store, but the post above suggests it won't work. Anyway, I did this B&M only. The language of the rebate form isn't clear to me. Maybe it would work for $20. However, if as stated above, it is there by mistake, no. Maybe I'll send it in anyway. It would, however, require cutting the UPC out of the box, if there's a downside to that.

Typo? Obviously they meant TO 12/12/2002.

I woke up late damnit!!!! didn't make it to BB until 6:45... OOS... but I made it down to Fry's at 7:30 (after I hit a second BB, that was a mistake) and I picked up a PNY Ti4200 64mb for $130-30MIR. all together $100 not bad, I did manage to snag two 80GB 8mb cache for $49.99 AMIR each. sweet sweet deal. Frys customers are like vultures and I think I waited in line 4 hours.

I ordered the card online for in store pickup in So Cal. (along with Dlink 614+ wireless router) I received confirmation on Thanksgiving that it was available for pickup. I walked into the store at 11:00, by that time the big crush was over, went to returns/product pick up they had a runner go get the items from the back. Forget to bring the same credit card so the overworked clerk told me she would ring it up right there and then and asked that I go online and cancel the original order. Got without having to wait in line.
