My problem with their clothing is that in a just [toy-]world, wouldn't these have been snake-skin, not fur? And shouldn't there be apple cores on the ground?

You're right. After re-reading the bible, I did not come across any convicted child molester priests... this clearly means that they don't exist!!! Therefore, the hundreds of priests who are accused of molesting their choirboys should all be freed because hey -- it's not in the bible.
