Bicycle crash today...pics

I rode about 38 and was cooling down when a car began to roll in front of me. I reacted to strongly, grabbing the only brake in my hand, you guessed it!! The front brake.

I go nearly over bars and hit head first, crushing my helmet and skidding on the pavement sufficiently to open some very nice holes in my flesh.

I finished the ride and the bike was unharmed. The helmet will need to be replaced. This is why bike riders shave their legs, right?

They do that so they can pick gravel and such out easier when they crash.

Otherwise the hair gets in the way and can infect the wound easier.
