Anyone else feel this will happen soon. If it does, what will it say about Obama's decision making skills?

Obama will not admit he was wrong.

Obama will not admit he was wrong.

I hope not when he wasn't.

Besides, some people (ya, you) seem to miss the point that it's less what Obama does, than the power of the right-wing machine to criticize it.

If Obama's favorite color is white, it shows he's trying to pander to whites. OOPS, he meant yellow. The color of surrender, typical democrat! Oops, he meant green. The color of our tax dollars, of course he loves it! OOPS! He meant blue - because he's such an ultra liberal partisan who is only about blue states and thinks everyone else clings to guns and religion.

Getting the idea? It's less about what he did - and I think he made a good choice on substance - than the power of the political machine to criticize him for it.

It's not about which of those colors' criticisms are more valid, it's about the fact the power to repeat the attack in millions of media blasts HAS AN EFFECT.

Again and again, liberals point out the wrongness, the lies, the illogic of those attacks, and yet they have the desired political effect, because the machine works.

Soon everyone nods in unison, "oh, ya, well you can't argue against the fact Biden was a mistake". The *same thing* would have happened whoever he picked...

That needs to be better understood.

If it *were* rational, you would see the incredibly outrageous lie on Sarah Palin and the bridge to nowhere affecting her negatively far more than it is - the facts show she's wrong.

But by a MEDIA CAMPAIGN, leading with her claiming she stopped the bridge and not saying she had favored it, at most many view the real story as 'democratic attacks'.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. The emptiness of the Obamessiah is being revealed and the power of McCains pick is shining through. Everywhere the Democrats are downright frightened. They are doing everything to discredit Palin, to little effect. Next move?
Swap the Veep. Its seems the D's are only interested in running a popularity contest. Actual content be damned. Of course the current course of "But I'm not Bush!" is proof enough of that.

The Democrats are empty and devoid. ALL they have is "We arent the Bush Administration!". Thats IT. No plans, no clues, no ideas. Just "Not Bush".

Its hilarity on the big stage. Maple syrup anyone?

Are you talking about how McCain and Romney did nothing but spout the usual small govt rhetoric on stage at the RNC, and then not 2 days later backed Bush's nationalization of Fannie and Freddie?

Hillary is not going to be VP. She's not in the running, she doesn't want the job, and the D's are not desperate just because McCain got a short-lived convention bounce.

And in the meantime, the Pubs are the Bush Administration. You'd have to be several beers short of a six-pack to forget that.

Not gonna happen. Palin is a flash in the pan. Obama needs to just focus on McCain and ignore her.
She is a non-entity in terms of substance.

It's terrible when a politician actually thinks before he replies instead of just spouting the usual canned rhetoric, isn't it?

edit: and really, guy, you should read your own posts before accusing others of cult of personality. Seriously and WTF.

The Palin Suprise would have been much less effective if the Democrats and liberal media wouldnt have went into OMGWTFBBQPANIC mode. Its been nothing but "Palin Palin Palin" for days. The worst they have come up with has been a bridge to nowhere and how shes somehow neglecting her motherly duties. So we have an earmark and a sexist remark. Huh. The substance questions were laid down quickly due to the Obamessiah's total lack of content. Outside of "uhhh....uhhhhhh.....I'm not Bush!! Hope and Change!".

That'll sway the independents to your side. Nothing like good ole sexist remarks from empty suits to win the people over.

It is pretty hard to discredit someone who has zero credibility to begin with. Fortunately for her, her fans don't care that she blatantly lies about things like the Bridge to Nowhere.

What "liberal media" are you referring to, Specop? Fox News?

Or the TV stations that Palin used to work for?

Thats almost impossible to answer because we dont realyl know what would happen if F&F were left to sink. I can tell you it would be a catastrophe to the world financial markets. Believe it or not sometimes you have to think outside your party lines. Having said that, I certainly am NOT amused by the rich socialism. I have to deal with enough socialist bullshit from the liberals and the poor, I certainly dont like it when it comes from the rich and the right.

F&F is a unique state so really trying to blame that on any political party is, quite simply, asinine political pandering. You go boy as they say.

I actually agree though. I dont see HRC taking it. Theres too little to gain and too much to lose. Then again, Veep trumps Senator so maybe she would.....

Anyways I checked. McCain isnt related to the Bush family. Sorry, more asinine political pandering and slandering from the ewe. Expected.

YAWN...
What exactly is the content of McCain's campaign? Seems like he wants to retry all the policies that failed time and time again, plus he's engaging in completely unethical twisting of the truth, which is indicative of how he will govern. It seems like change is a good thing given the last 8 years, and it isn't going to come from McCain.

...she?s easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America and quite frankly it might have been a better pick than me.

What gives people the idea Hillary wanted it, ask for it or would accept VP?

For all you we/you know, Obama ask her and begged her, and she said sorry....no.

You assume Hillary was willing for anything.
She wanted the #1 slot, NOT #2.

You're believing fox and the like that Hillary wanted #2 and was turned down.
I find that very hard to believe. I would bet she made it clear she WAS NOT
interested in the #2 slot.

PS. Obama had nothing to do with THAT part of it.
He went on to plan B.

Like I said, the best the combined might of the Liberal Machine can come up with is.....wait for it.....A bridge!!

A BRIDGE!!!

Maybe she has a bridge to sell you.....
